Our first visit to Whitehouse-Crawford was very disappointing. Service was decent and we enjoyed the onion appetizer. My halibut was nicely presented but over-cooked and nothing special. This place was highly recommended, but I doubt we will return or recommend it to others.

Walla Walla is known for their sweet onions I guess. We got the fried sweet onions starter and basically ate every shoestring despite it being fried. I saved the crumbs for our halibut that we shared. The fish was perfectly done but the snap peas stole the show.

My wife and I were visiting Walla Walla, WA for my wife's birthday. It was Friday night and we were looking for a place that offered excellent food, service, and an authentic Walla Walla experience. After looking through various restaurant guides, we unfortunately stumbled upon Whitehouse-Crawford (WC) and decided to give it a try. Well, as advertised in the guide... More

Do not miss this restaurant! They change the menu regularly with local fresh produce so I will only mention one. One the night I was there the special was morel mushroom soup with truffle oil and a handful of fresh green peas. Wonderful! Everything else very well done too. Lovely wines -- but some above my price range ($200). Thoughtful,... More

This was our third dinner here in 3 years. The food is all very good, but the menu is fairly limited. Our group of 10 tried most of the appetizers and both salads and we enjoyed them all, however the foie gras appetizer was so cold (almost frozen) that the flavor was muted. The halibut and filet entrees were both... More

This is a repeat trip for us to Whitehouse-Crawford. I would rank this as one of the better restaurants in Walla Walla. I love the atmosphere in this place. High brick walls and kind of an industrial ceiling with an open feel and lots of light coming through the windows. The menu is brief. It consists of one page, but... More

Walla Walla has fallen in love with itself and this is the most vain of many places we visited. The rudeness of the receptionist was surpassed by our server who almost refused to describe the entrees or options. Her knowledge of the wine list was either non-existent or a personal secret. The wine list is of course expensive. The pricing... More

Our first trip to Walla Walla, but we were lucky enough to have local friends recommend (and meet us at) this restaurant. We were there on a Friday night; so, it was busy. However, we were seated promptly and courteously. We were seated in the main, lovely dining room. If we had remained seated at the bar, we would have... More

We wanted to visit someplace with historic value and interesting food, and the Whitehouse-Crawford fit the bill on both counts. We're sure to go back next time we're in Walla Walla. We would recommend ordering a variety of items off the bar menu, as it's much more interesting than the mains (at least this was the case when we visited... More

Whitehouse-Crawford is a serious restaurant for a small town. The menu is short but seriously good; the wine list seriously lengthy; the space seriously vast; the cooking seriously skilful. Jamie Guerin was seriously down to work as we watched him from the chef's counter (recommended). The only thing not serious was the service, which was efficient and as friendly as... More
