After reading the reviews, we were looking forward to an outstanding meal. The wine selection was indeed excellent, but the dishes, while mostly well prepared, lacked seasoning. The service was mediocre and the dark dining room, which was nearly empty, did not provide the ambiance that normally goes with the prices charged. Perhaps it was an off night. I would... More

The Marc's kitchen staff knows food and they deserve five stars; they know how to perfectly prepare food. Salad, entree, wine, and bread were perfect. The service was what we would term "disjointed" with different course parts delivered by different people who appeared to not communicate. As an example, our wine, ordered first, did not arrive until long after our... More

We had a great dinner on a Friday night at the Marc. The atmosphere was very warm, the food was fabulous, I had salmon --my husband had filet. The chopped salad was so good I ate every last bite. The house wines are very good. Our server Valerie was so friendly and happy to answer questions. Great experience. We would... More

Three of us at the Marc restaurant on Oct.18th, I had the salmon.. Another had the rainbow trout and the other had lamb. The service was very good and the food was delicious. This is the type of restaurant you would select for a special occasion.

Had the fortunate experience to sit at a chef's dinner in the kitchen this weekend. I can't imagine a better foodie experience. Every small bite was expertly crafted using fresh local ingredients. The chef thoughtfully uses innovative techniques and artistic flavor combinations. Toasted milk powder, popcorn grits, a perfect diver scallop, table-side made mango passion fruit sorbet, Columbia River King... More

The food and service is the best we ever had. Couples need to put this on their to do list!!!! It was a very busy Friday night at the restaurant and Karen took care of us and the rest of the crew made sure we were happy when she was attending other customers.

We were staying at the Marcus Whitman and ate here twice, both times in the bar, sharing a variety of small plates. Every dish was beautifully plated, colorful, and alive with bold flavors, the way I like to eat. The bartender was friendly and very helpful, the wine list was great, the atmosphere was elegant yet lively, and the food... More

We had the privilege of fine dining at the Marc in the Marcus Whitman Hotel in Walla Walla, Washington. The historic hotel is worth the visit alone. Even though it was busy, we were immediately seated by hostess Brooke who ensured that our water, bread and initial wine requirements were met. The food was creative and delicious! Sous Chef Dean... everything was delicious and the wine pairing very good. The staff was enthusiastic about their jobs and the food. The chef was very proud of the restaurant and gave us a tour of the kitchen and his growing room in the basement. Memorable experience.
