Great food, even better service!

Don't usually write these, but I had one of the best filet mignon's of my life last night! I'd originally ordered the good to go since it was 8:45 (kitchen closes at 9), but upon arrival was charmed by the ambience and the fun crowd. Maddy, my server, plates my to go food and even gave me her wine... read more

I ordered the adult grilled cheese sandwich with tomato basil soup. This consisted of two finger sandwich sized rectangles and a large cup of soup served on a small cookie sheet. My friend ordered the turkey & bacon club, which for 1.00 more, was real sized and properly plated. Quite disappointing....the surroundings are lovely, however.

We rate the service at five and the beet salad at a solid five. The beet salad is a stunning and very well balanced dish. The salmon ravioli appetizer we will rate at a 3.5. The sauce and accompaniments were very good but the ravioli itself was too heavy. The suggested wine, a Sangiovese was overpowering for the dish. I... More

The dining room at the Marc Whitman hotel is grand, like the entire hotel. The food is not inexpensive but we felt it was well worth the splurge. The food and service were both memorable with Mark and Valerie helping us. Don't miss dinner here!

The Marc is always beautifully decorated and Christmas is our favorite time to dine there and enjoy the ambiance. They have a special Christmas menu with many choices and paired with our famous local wines. Top quality, fresh, and delicious!

There were 3 of us at dinner. 2 of us ordered the filet mignon and 1 had the scallops. The steaks were so nicely done we didn't need a knife, even having ordered it medium. The scallops were done, not overcooked and the sweet onion soup was classically good. Wine pairings were right. Thank you to executive chef Scott! Very... More

My wife and I recently stayed at the Marcus Whitman, and the Marc is their in house restaraunt. We randomly saw an ad for The Chef's Table and thought it sounded like a fun experience. We are so glad we did it! We were seated seated at a special table back in the kitchen, in the heart of the hustle... More

Very nice dining room, food was good but pricey. Staff was a bit slow and unpolished (hostess was picking her teeth while seating us) People from the bar kept cutting through to get to the lobby, which I thought was a bit odd.

Went to the bar where you can order food. Ordered a steak and fries. $25 without drink or tip. When it arrived I thought it was a joke. I actually looked around for a film crew. On my plate were some green beans, some fries, and a steak that was not half the size of my palm. No, I am... More

My husband and I made a spontaneous trip back to Walla Walla for a short getaway. We were fortunate enough to get a Chefs Table once again. Lucky us! Valerie was a terrific host and matched the wine with our dinner perfectly. Each course was more delicious than the previous and all of the chefs were very knowledgeable in their... More
