what a surprise in a number of ways

the bread they make is literally worth placing mail orders for it--cant get enough of it; their casual sandwiches etc are, therefore , also really good.. and the surprise is, if you want /need a catered dinner, which several of the upscale inns either require or have as an option, chef Michael and... read more

My daughter and I were here for a music festival and stopped in. I just got something to drink but my daughter got a chocolate croissant. They looked great in the display case but the one she got was burnt. She couldn't even finish it. The people at the counter came across mildly irritated that we, or anybody, were there.... More

Limited menu however everything is made on premises and is yummy. Great daily soup, artisan breads, savory and sweet pastries. Friendly service from hard-working team.

Baguettes are great; ham and cheese croissants are divine, nutty caramel bars are worth the drive from Waitsburg! Loved the small serving of pickles and fresh fruit that came with my to go croissant. Big variety for a small place!

Wish they would have counter help put on gloves to touch the bread. We stopped for lunch and watched the two women at the counter handle many customers' bills and change and then reach up and rearrange or get the bread in open racks behind them or on the counter. After counting the tip jar money during a pause in... More

Always the best and freshest bread. You can get it on Saturdays at the Farmers Market as well. Good coffee and sandwiches. Scones and cinnamon rolls to die for. Friendly staff too.

Fantastic bakery. We always pick up something here or at the local farmer's market if we are having guests, or need that special bread for a recipe/dinner. They do have sandwiches and a small area for seating, but this is for the person on the run. Still, I think they have the best product around and some delicious and original... More

Sure, you could buy some of the wonderful bread here and make your own sandwich at home, but you probably wouldn't wrap it lovingly in butcher paper and tie it with twine the way they do here. It's a cheerful, casual spot with indoor and outdoor seating on Main Street. Recommended for breakfast or lunch.

Go for the coffee, have breakfast and take home a loaf of bread. They are open at 8, maybe earlier on weekdays.
