Shabby on the outside, surprisingly large and ornate on the inside. Pleasant staff, good food, prices on the high side. If you don't mind the funky parking lot, eat at 'Thai Play, a hands-down winner over the awful Phomys Thai, which looks way better from the street, but is a mess once you sit down.

Service was so friendly and the menu was explained. They had some great specials including crab fried rice with "real" dungeness crab. OMG, so good! We also had the pineapple fried rice. My husband had the special stir fry. He wasn't sure on the spiciness level to order so ordered medium and then spiced it up for himself. He really... More

We went for dinner at this unpretentious Thai restaurant in Walla Walla. It is a family run eatery with very friendly and helpful staff. The service was prompt and individual preferences were taken in detail. There is a bit of a wait for the food to arrive. The food is authentic Thai in taste with all the right spices. It... More

My wife and I visited this restaurant while in town for a family friend's college graduation. They had some menu items that I've never seen before, like avocado curry, the item that I ordered. It was great, tasty and very spicy, just the way I like it. We had their coconut ice cream for dessert, which was delicious. My only... More

We visit Thai Ploy nearly every week. The food and service are good. The lunch special is a particularly good value.

Even though the food tastes great, I'm not sure whether to give it a 3 or 4 star for two reasons--I felt we had to wait quite a long time to get our food (the restaurant was not packed), and I felt the restaurant was pricey for such a small town. The restaurant is nice and clean and that I... More

I tried to review this place not knowing it used to be called Thai City. Trip Advisor needs a better way of dealing with name changes. Any way we have relatives in Walla Walla area and met them for dinner. They recommended Thai Ploy as their favorite Asian restaurant. We were not disappointed. Walla Walla has come a long way... My husband and I went to Thai Ploy for lunch today. Didn't know anything about restaurants in Walla Walla. We picked the Thai Ploy because there were several cars there. When we first walked in the place the first thing I noticed was a delicious aroma. We ordered two different lunch combos. It was almost more than we could eat... More

Thai City is now named Thai Ploy. It's not the greatest Thai food I've ever eaten but it wasn't bad and the price was right. My favorite Thai dish is Pud Kee Mao, so that's what I try at a new restaurant that I haven't eaten at before. The wide rice noodles in this dish were not as soft as... More
