A great place to stop and play!

We found this place during our stay in July and stopped in. It was really - really neat and we were glad we did!

Charming older home converted to a cute restaurant. Excellent food, pleasant staff, fast service. We were there for lunch and were glad that we arrived early; on a Friday it was quite busy. We both had blackened chicken which was moist and tender. The gumbo and split pea soup were tasty. The lemon chess pie was good, but was probably... More

I had high hopes for this place because it's the type of establishment we usually love. But, there was noting great about the service here, the cesar salad was as bland as I've ever had, the soup was average, and the rolls tasted like they had been sitting out for an hour. The sweet tea was sub-par for Mississippi, and... More

We tried to get a table at the Anchusa, but it was closed for a private function. So ate here instead, it was a really good taste of Southern home cooking, something we do not get a lot of back in the UK. We loved the charm of the place and attentive service. They don't have a liquor license so... More

My girlfriend and I loved shopping at this market! Full of many great items from vintage to trendy. Lots of jewelry and more! We both made several purchases. The owner was delightful and patient showing us jewelry from her extensive jewelry counter. She also offered dining suggestions and places to shop. Felt good about spending $$$ here. Hope to return.... More

This is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. It was a little hard to find, but I really liked the atmosphere. It had great southern charm. We had lunch and it was good. I was a little disappointed in the service. We weren't greeted upon arrival and I was wondering if anyone would ever show us to... More

Gumbo was like soup! Very little chicken, sausage, or rice. They evidently don't know how to make Gumbo, the worst I have ever had. I could not recommend this restaruant

I've been here many, many times and have never been disappointed. There are not many places that I can say that about.

We had a wonderful lunch on a cold April day. The room was bright and sunny with local art on the walls. I had the gumbo which was excellent and my husband had the crispy chicken wrap which came with remoulade sauce. Both were excellent. The house salad had fruit and lettuce with a ginger dressing, a nice tangy difference.... More
