I've been here many, many times and have never been disappointed. There are not many places that I can say that about.

We had a wonderful lunch on a cold April day. The room was bright and sunny with local art on the walls. I had the gumbo which was excellent and my husband had the crispy chicken wrap which came with remoulade sauce. Both were excellent. The house salad had fruit and lettuce with a ginger dressing, a nice tangy difference.... More

Terrific red beans and rice, and ginger salad dressing to die for. Don't miss lunch in this casual place in a historic building.

Perfect lunch on a cold winters day. I had the gumbo and muffuletta. Talk about delish. I savored every bite. My friend has the quiche and the salad. She loved both of her offerings. My favorite had to be the homemade bread and bitter pickles. Not your ordinary pickle for sure. There was a definite party in my belly!!!

We arrived around 1:30 pm on a weekday and the place was still full of locals. The wait staff were wonderful. The lunch menu is small compared to most restaurants but everything was very tasty. I never order dessert but we shared a pecan pie and it was worth it. I loved the decor.

Lunch was great! All meals priced at $10 + drinks and deserts are extra. Place is fairly small and is very popular with the locals. Our waitress was very friendly and service was great.

Very good and homey. Good selection and very reasonably priced. Very good presentation and pleasing experience. Especially enjoyed the quiche and desserts.

We stopped here for coffee and dessert, delicious and friendly staff. Great old home is the facility for this restaurant.

We met friends here for lunch and enjoyed the seafood gumbo, a chicken breast lunch special, and some shared appetizers. The food was well prepared and well presented. Service was friendly if leisurely, and it was obvious that most customers were regulars.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch on our first day in Vicksburg. We ordered Red beans and rice, shrimp and andoulle stew, coconut pie. The entire meal was nothing less than fantastic. The coconut pie was the same sort my Grandma used to make. I haven't had it in years. Yum! The restaurant is located in an old... More
