We stopped at Walnut Hills early before the dinner crowd, so we didn't have the round table serving. However, we were not disappointed, the service was prompt and friendly and the food was outstanding. Try it, you can't go wrong!

A friend recommended this place to us when we were passing through Vicksburg in January. We were expecting the normal, run of the mill place, but everything we had was wonderful, from the salads to the dessert. This is an old house, and they have left enough of the charm so that you almost feel that you are a guest... More

save yourself some money and go to KFC. We ordered the "world famous fried chicken" that was only just ok, mashed potato and vegetables were over cooked and soggy.

I was looking for a place for my wife and I to eat while stopping in Vicksburg, Mississippi and almost did not go to Walnut Hill due to some of the reviews about service. Our B&B proprietor still recommended it so we went rather early on a Monday evening. We were actually met by the staff opening the door for... More

We ate at the "round table" part of walnut hills. The cost was approx. $25 per person. The table was full of delicious southern dishes. Just turn the lazy Susan and serve yourself. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to go! The daily specials change, so stop by and check... More

Read reviews and decided to try it out. My husband and I got the seafood platter. It was ok, nothing to brag about. I was hoping for a bit better for $22 a plate. My son ordered the fried chicken and wanted all dark meat but they gave him all white instead. Flavors were good though. My other son got... More

Authentic food in an historic home. Make sure to try the fried pickles which are unusual but very tasty. All the veggies and casserole dishes are good, I was in a vegetarian mood and enjoyed dinner.

Yum! Yum! Yum! The chicken was too delicious for words last night! My chicken breasts had a nice crispy coating and wet super moist on the inside. The cornbread muffins were baked perfectly. The greens were served with spicy pepper sauce and the purple hull peas were well seasoned. My hubby had the fried catfish and liked it, plus he... More

This is like Sunday dinner at Grandma's. If you are within 100 miles this is a must place to eat. The Southern Fried Chicken and fresh vegetables can't be beat. The desserts sounded wonderful but we had eaten to much lunch to try them. Next time we will plan better.
