The food were good but prepare to pay a premium price. In the living room, there is a hole in the floor covered with glass. It is where a cannon ball from the Battle of Vicksburg (Union Boat) bounced off the floor and lodged into the wall (still there).

Food was excellent - honey mustard dressing on salad had a bit of horseradish added for "tang"; pork medallions very tender and tasty; hot rolls were excellent; cheesecake really creamy. Touring house after meal was an added treat - there is even a cannonball from the War of Northern Aggression embedded in a wall.

Enjoyed a very nice dinner on a quiet Monday night. Good service and beautiful gardens surrounding this former plantaion.

The hotel and restaurant are lovely, but I thought the prices were too high. I had a cup of gumbo and a salad--$23.00.

Well prepared and presented food. Cedar Grove offers a wide variety of fare--fish, chicken, beef. The chefs offer interesting twists on traditional fare, e.g., shrimp scampi and filet mignon.

Cedar Grove is a must see in Vicksburg! We have dinner there every time we visit and it is always very good! The elegance and ambiance are fantastic and the wait-staff is always attentive and pleasant. The menu could use a little refreshing and that is the only thing I would say keeping the score at only a very good.... More

We stayed here and were so happy after walking all day to just saunter downstairs and have a relaxing meal. We had had a lot of catfish so were happy to see other options. He had a steak and I had the Pasta Primavera. Just perfect! With the wine and a little after dinner drink we ambled our way upstairs... More

We were disappointed with the food, service was good, dining room/conservatory is attractive. Apparently there is a door with a canon hole still in evidence which we did not see.

The food was good, if not great, and well-priced. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was good.
