Enjoyed the Thai Soup

The soup was yummy. Didn't enjoy the main entrée of Thai Chicken. I found it more batter and skin than chicken meat. It also had a greasy taste, even though the waiter said it's the most popular dish.

Many years ago I went to Phuket Thai shortly after it opened. The meal was disappointing, and I never went back until last night. I remembered the McCully Phuket Thai as being quite good, but last night at Kamakee was as disappointing as the previous time. Whether you eat pork or not, it is a common ingredient in Thai cooking,... More

Mar 3 Thai cuisine is easily one of the top three on my favorite cuisine list. After trying several Thai restos on Oahu, my stomach has settled upon Phuket Thai located near Ward Center and Ala Moana Shopping Center. We've been going there since it opened about 7 years ago. I never truly enjoyed Thai flavors until then. It offers... More

My wife and I went there for dinner last night. Food aren't real Thai food taste, very salty. We ordered Tom Yung Gon, it's not really the same as what we usually eat in Thailand taste. We think it doesn't worth the time & money to go there. Won't go again.

We decided to order Thai carryout. I ordered the Panang Seafood curry medium with brown rice and also the Tom Kha soup with Tofu. Both dishes were good and we would order them again. This location can get pretty busy so be aware of the wait times during peak dinner hours.

Same sort of food and service as the McCully location...that is to say fine service and great food (again, my favorite yellow curry on island)...but I added a star because of the location, parking and atmosphere of this one. There are multiple lots to park in around Ward area, plus there is a lot more to see and do around... More

I ordered the shrimp Phuket salad... Should have ordered something else. The water from the lettuce combined with the miso vinaigrette dressing, the shrimp was short in supply, and the salad was mostly lettuce. The things that saved the meal were the other dishes ordered by others in the party, especially the yellow medium curry and the environment, which was... More

My wife and I have dined here many times, and we can always expect good food, good service and a nice dining atmosphere. We have our "go-to" items, but I'll occasionally sample something new and have never been disappointed. Portion sizes are perfect for sharing, so we usually have left-overs to take home. Ron is an especially good server, and... More

Much better parking situation and location than the McCully Shopping Center restaurant. I thought the food was better at the McCully restaurant, but that was a couple of years ago. Parking at the Kamake'e site is much easier. Dollar an hour parking is available behind the restaurant if street parking isn't. As always, vegetarian options are plentiful. Food is tasty... More

This was some of the best Thai food I have ever add. The specialty of the house is their fried boneless chicken. Virtually everyone in the restaurant had it. And I know why now. The dishes were hot, fresh, and the prices good. Yum! Definitely worth it.
