Was looking for something different and a fun atmosphere for Sushi in Honoloulu. Shokudo did not disappoint! Food was delicious and portions large. Food was exactly as pictured on their web site. Busy fun restaurant, friendly attentive staff. Great location at Ala Moana. Pumpkin Tempura was Fantastic, as well as the Spicy Crispy Tuna! Definitely will go there again.

My son, his wife and I had a most enjoyable experience, primarily because our waitress Robyn went out of her way to make us comfortable and meet our every need. The food, of course, was great, but the tipping point to making this a wonderful evening was the care and kindness shown by Robyn. There really should be more wait... More

The best new dining experience I've had in years. The pork chops and steak and honey toast are must haves! They make their own tofu fresh throughout the day and the such is awesome, we tried the spicy ahi on crispy rice and the sushi pizza. We went for the first time last month and we've been back about a... More

We loved this restaurant located near Ala Moana Center. Menu favorites: ishiyaki (hot stone bowl) dishes, sushi combos, steak and salmon for the non-Japanese eaters, good miso soup. Friendly staff, outside patio for cocktails/pupus. Enjoyed sitting on the "terraced" side of the restaurant. Moderate prices, good portion sizes.

When I lived in Honolulu, I used to go there very often. Now I am dreaming with having lunch sometime there on my next trip to Honolulu next year. The soups are so yummy that I am mouthwatering just thinking on them. They also have very good sushi and a special dessert that is made with bread, honey and ice... More

My friend wanted to take me out for my birthday for lunch. She called for reservations and when we arrived they said our name were not written down. Luckily the restaurant wasn't busy but we had to wait a few minutes to be seated. The hostess explained that that they needed at least two hours to make a reservation and... More

Tried this restaurant for the first time while visiting Oahu and was impressed with not only the great friendly service but with the very tasty dishes they offer, all in a very modern and well designed setting. We went there for lunch and went right in and was served very promptly. My daughter who currently lives on Oahu recommended it... More

My friend who made the reservation said that we were lucky to get a table because there was usually a two to three week wait and that we would be expected to finish our meal and depart within two hours. We were seated promptly and noticed that the restaurant was not nearly full. The server was personable and reasonably attentive... More

There are, needless to say, a plethora of Japanese Sushi restaurants in Waikiki, but this one is at the top of the list. The FRESHEST sushi with butter-like texture! Melt in your mouth! They serve all dishes Family Style, so be prepared to share! We ordered 6 different rolls which are sliced into 8 large pieces. More than enough for... More
