Great food in a classy place!

We walked here from our condo, a few short blocks. The wait was about 30 minutes, as it was a very busy place. The atmosphere was classy and calming. The staff was very friendly, helpful and welcoming! We were there with friends and hungry teenage boys, so we ordered a lot of food. The prices were... read more

Great menu, service, ambience! Best happy hour in town! It's hip classy and casual. Prices are very reasonable, and everyone knows it, it gets busy very quickly! I'm so glad we found this place! We sampled a lot of sushi and pupus everything was great, can't wait to go back and try more!

We just happened upon this restaurant when walking from Fabric Mart to the Ala Moana Center. What a lucky find for us, since we had one of the best tasting Japanese meals that we have ever had. The house-made tofu was outstanding, the sashimi of tuna and salmon absolutely fresh. And with Kirin on tap, it was perfect. We ended... More

Expansive menu with several pages of mouthwatering choices. Portions tend to be small to medium so are perfect for a couple wanting to try different taster plates. Our waitress Chelsea was awesome, very friendly and attentive, and quick to suggest some of her personal favorites off the menu. We followed her advice for a few of our choices and were... More

The place is very airy and clean. Prices about the same as other places, I had "soft crab" california roll, and is fresh and tasty.

Was looking for something different and a fun atmosphere for Sushi in Honoloulu. Shokudo did not disappoint! Food was delicious and portions large. Food was exactly as pictured on their web site. Busy fun restaurant, friendly attentive staff. Great location at Ala Moana. Pumpkin Tempura was Fantastic, as well as the Spicy Crispy Tuna! Definitely will go there again.

My son, his wife and I had a most enjoyable experience, primarily because our waitress Robyn went out of her way to make us comfortable and meet our every need. The food, of course, was great, but the tipping point to making this a wonderful evening was the care and kindness shown by Robyn. There really should be more wait... More

The best new dining experience I've had in years. The pork chops and steak and honey toast are must haves! They make their own tofu fresh throughout the day and the such is awesome, we tried the spicy ahi on crispy rice and the sushi pizza. We went for the first time last month and we've been back about a... More

We loved this restaurant located near Ala Moana Center. Menu favorites: ishiyaki (hot stone bowl) dishes, sushi combos, steak and salmon for the non-Japanese eaters, good miso soup. Friendly staff, outside patio for cocktails/pupus. Enjoyed sitting on the "terraced" side of the restaurant. Moderate prices, good portion sizes.
