We just happened by and put our name on the list. Luckily, we were just a party of two and all the others were many more. We were seated in a few minutes. We had an omelet and pancakes. Good size portions, great potatoes and very good homemade salsa on the side. Coffee was very good also. Friendly, efficient staff.... More

HNL Magazine has named Cafe Kaila the best breakfast in HNL. We agree. This is a small place, popular with Japanese tourists and locals alike, so expect a wait. But it is definitely worth the wait. They do turn the tables quickly, so traffic moves. They have a counter. We had the frittata, fried rice and the bagel sandwich. The... More

This restaurant is very popular--you must put your name on a list and wait, and wait, and wait. But once seated, the waithelp are very personable, and service is quick and efficient. I had one of their eggs benedict variant: with chicken apple sausage, spinach, and mushrooms. The eggs were done perfectly. Cubed, fried potatoes were served in lieu of... More

This place. OMG. You seriously have to make a stop here for breakfast. I had the waffle with fruit on top and it was ambrosia. This was the best breakfast we had for our 9-day stay on the island. Please do yourself a favor and make your day better by stopping there for breakfast. Get there early, as tour busses... More

This was my first eating visit; I'd tried a couple of times before to have a meal, but was too impatient to wait in line. The waitstaff were all very friendly, and very upbeat, even though there was a continuous line of people waiting outside. The frittata I ordered was okay; the meat selection ended up part of the frittata,... More

We lined up for 1.5 hours in Tokyo last year to get into Kaila Cafe Tokyo and had the best pancakes in the world. As soon as I saw the original restaurant is in Hawaii I've decided I will visit it one day. Well we were not disappointed. Pancakes are as good as in Japan and the line is as... More

If you wake up hungry, this is the place for a healthy breakfast. Lot's of fresh fruit options with granola and juices. They have the standard meat and eggs breakfasts too with good portions. Good place for families.

A delicious meal and great vibe. We found the place by accident...browsing a magazine. Glad we did. The cafe is out of the main Waikiki area, in the suburbs. We had to queue for a meal, but this added to the anticipation. The meals were great. The service was great. The vibe was great. And, as a bonus, on the... More
