This was my first eating visit; I'd tried a couple of times before to have a meal, but was too impatient to wait in line. The waitstaff were all very friendly, and very upbeat, even though there was a continuous line of people waiting outside. The frittata I ordered was okay; the meat selection ended up part of the frittata,... More

We lined up for 1.5 hours in Tokyo last year to get into Kaila Cafe Tokyo and had the best pancakes in the world. As soon as I saw the original restaurant is in Hawaii I've decided I will visit it one day. Well we were not disappointed. Pancakes are as good as in Japan and the line is as... More

If you wake up hungry, this is the place for a healthy breakfast. Lot's of fresh fruit options with granola and juices. They have the standard meat and eggs breakfasts too with good portions. Good place for families.

A delicious meal and great vibe. We found the place by accident...browsing a magazine. Glad we did. The cafe is out of the main Waikiki area, in the suburbs. We had to queue for a meal, but this added to the anticipation. The meals were great. The service was great. The vibe was great. And, as a bonus, on the... More

We went around 11 and it took almost an hour for 6 of us to get seated, but once we had our breakfast, no one was disappointed about the wait. The food was excellent as was the service. We met Kaila, the owner, which really gave our experience the small business/ local feel. Check it out while in Honolulu.

A great breakfast place! We love the Belgian waffles covered with fresh berries. My mother, who is in her 80's, does not usually have a big appetite, but she finishes the serving here. The other reviewers are right about the wait--we always get there before the restaurant opens at 7AM to avoid the line. The wait staff has always been... More

I really just want to be like, this place is awful and terrible! Just to keep people away. I already had to wait like an hour this morning! Sheesh! :P This was the best breakfast I've had in the Honolulu area and I have a feeling it will remain my favorite. We ordered the traditional eggs Benedict special, a create... More

The food here is always fresh, generous and of good quality. Get here early to avoid the wait. Fun mix of tourists and locals. Be sure to try one of their daily specials. Today we had the orange lilikoi waffles that were delicious. It tasted like a creamsicle waffle! The panini sandwiches are also great and they come with crispy... More
