Great experience

My husband and I had been wanting to go to Nobu in Australia but hadn't had the chance so we thrilled to find it in Waikiki. The food was delicious, we had the $135 tasting menu which was 7 courses. If you know what you like you are better off selecting from the menu but being our first visit we... read more

Our third major dining treat in Honolulu was Nobu Waikiki. We have been to Matsushita on La Cienega and Nobu Malibu several times before and have never been disappointed. This was no different but with a Hawaiian flavor. We started with 2 sashimi plates including yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño and the bigeye tataki with ponzu which were elegantly presented with... After paying $ 250 for a couple we left feeling hungry and a little underwhelmed. I am not sure what market they are trying to target but they missed the mark with our experience. The service was quite good however I felt there was too much emphasis on selling expensive wines. There are much better restaurants nearby at much better... More

Given it was "Nobu", we thought we were going for fine dining and a special night but it was nowhere near special. Service was below average, there was screaming kids and people wearing flip flops. Food was nice but over priced and didn't come out as entree's and main's as we'd ordered. We were so so disappointed and would not... More

We love the Nobu in LA and have always had a culinary adventure each time. But this Honolulu location is mediocre, overly spiced and overly priced. The staff was earnest enough but their specialty cocktails had so much sugar we both got cavities on the spot. We asked our waiter for suggestions, which was a huge mistake. He up-sold us... More

Staff was very nice (they wrote happy anniversary on our desert plate), except one fill in waiter that keeps pushing lobster dishes to us! I cannot bring myself to pay $60.00 for a salad! Food is not bad, but i guess u are also paying for the service which was good! We had the tofu and beef Tobanyaki, all u... More

Haute cuisine is not for the price conscious but I expect the food to be of the highest quality, the decor to be avant grade, and the service to be spot on. I have been to several of the other Nobu restaurants in other countries and on other continents with mixed results; Las Vegas and Hong Kong were amazing, but... More

Lovely food spoilt by an overzealous waiter who had us in his sights for expensive food and wine... our fault for not stopping it in time...would not visit again. too expensive for what it is.

We were refused service at the halekulani for me not having a collared shirt so made our way across the street to Nobu. Probably some of the best Sushi I've had outside of Japan. If you are an Ahi fan, try the Chutoro Sashimi or Nigiri. Absolutely melts in your mouth.
