Good sushi, but pricey

The service and the sushi were excellent. It was somewhat pricey. One piece of sushi was $5 to $10. The rolls were around $15. The atmosphere is dark chic. If you are willing to spend the money, I recommend it.

I had always wanted to go to Nobu and was excited to make a reservation our last night in Oahu. We went at 9 and the place was only 1/3 full and we ended up being the second last to leave. But the food was wonderful. The miso cod was as fabulous as promised. Each small plate was great. Such... More

Expensive, but you are always satisfied with the quality and service. Rock-shrimp seems to be their main thing and we get it every time. Frankly, this is not really a sushi place...not in the way that 99% of people think of sushi. It is Asian-fusion or something like that.

Simply incredible in every way -- if you are truly a foodie, the taste doesn't come any better than this on our little island of Oahu. You enter beautiful modern decor accentuated by soft, but compelling New Age/World background tracks setting the stage. From the moment we arrived, the staff are numerous, friendly and helpful, extremely professional, always moving, incredibly... More

Our third major dining treat in Honolulu was Nobu Waikiki. We have been to Matsushita on La Cienega and Nobu Malibu several times before and have never been disappointed. This was no different but with a Hawaiian flavor. We started with 2 sashimi plates including yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño and the bigeye tataki with ponzu which were elegantly presented with... After paying $ 250 for a couple we left feeling hungry and a little underwhelmed. I am not sure what market they are trying to target but they missed the mark with our experience. The service was quite good however I felt there was too much emphasis on selling expensive wines. There are much better restaurants nearby at much better... More

Given it was "Nobu", we thought we were going for fine dining and a special night but it was nowhere near special. Service was below average, there was screaming kids and people wearing flip flops. Food was nice but over priced and didn't come out as entree's and main's as we'd ordered. We were so so disappointed and would not... More

We love the Nobu in LA and have always had a culinary adventure each time. But this Honolulu location is mediocre, overly spiced and overly priced. The staff was earnest enough but their specialty cocktails had so much sugar we both got cavities on the spot. We asked our waiter for suggestions, which was a huge mistake. He up-sold us... More

Staff was very nice (they wrote happy anniversary on our desert plate), except one fill in waiter that keeps pushing lobster dishes to us! I cannot bring myself to pay $60.00 for a salad! Food is not bad, but i guess u are also paying for the service which was good! We had the tofu and beef Tobanyaki, all u... More
