We asked a waitress in nearby Yard House for a seafood restaurant and she immediately suggested Roy's. We rocked up there without a reservation on a Tuesday early evening and was given a lovely balcony table, perfect for people watching. We were told about the pineapple martini's so had to try one. Amazing. They have 3 containers of this concoction... More

What an awesome restaurant. The food was outstanding and the service even better. Best seafood on the island. The price may be in the $$$$ area but worth every penny. Great wine and beer slections as well. I took my wife and daughter on this trip and they both loced the meal. Don't miss this one.

Food was excellent. We ordered crab cakes and tandoori chicken. Being an Indian curry fan I was really pleasantly surprised by this beautifuly cooked boneless half chicken. We had a bottle puilly fuisse which was delicious and not over priced. But what was really excellent was the children's menu, really healthy, very tasty and again good value. Service was very... We tried the tandoori chicken and duck dish both were really good. The service is quite fast as well and we didn't have to wait long between meals. The desert was absolutely delicious Roy's signature melting hot soufflé - is a must for all those with a sweet tooth. Great service. Mahalo.

We went to Roy's last time we were in Hawaii and had a great experience with lovely food and drinks, eating outside. This time we were seated inside the restaurant and the atmosphere was poor. Very quiet with waiters rushing, people hushing and not much atmosphere. Our waiter was clearly rushed and not terribly engaged. The cocktails weren't very interesting... More

Very nice place with indoor and outdoor seating. All staff were very attentive, considerate and polite. We had fried dumplings that honestly were the best we've ever had. For dinner we had the fillet and NY strip, both cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. Pineapple upside down cake was awesome.... ohh and the martini's were shaken perfect as well!

This is a busy and noisy restaurant. I got the impression that maybe a bit too busy as we were left waiting a long time between interactions with our server. The complimentary edamame beans were a nice touch but I was sure our server had said bread was being baked and would be out shortly- it never appeared until we... More

Had dinner here tonight with my wife, and we had a good time, enjoyed the food, but both had the feeling it was more a 4 than 5 star experience. The interior looks a bit dated, however the food was very, very good.

My husband and I went here for dinner while on our honeymoon on the recommendation of someone in Kauai. I have to say that this was the best meal that we ate on our entire honeymoon! We both had the tasting menu along with the matching wines. We went here expecting good food, but we were blown away by just... More
