We ate at Roy's Waikiki Beach for our "fancy" dinner on our honeymoon. We couldn't splurge too much and we made an excellent choice for dinner. The hostess was very nice and we chose to sit outside. The outside dining area is just above the sidewalk and we were right near people walking past, but it did not disturb our... more

Everything from service to the meal and the busy and organised atmosphere was spot on. Go there first and judge the others by this standard. more

We were supposed to go to the military hotel for $5 burgers, but we ended up at Roy's. BIG difference. I knew this place was good, after reading TA reviews and travel guides. So when we wandered past it at 8pm, stomachs growling, it seemed like a good alternative (to the burgers). We're from NY, so we've eaten in many... more

We were on our honeymoon and we've always wanted to eat here -- especially after watching "At the table with..." on the food network. We made ourselves a nice reservation, and we were so happy we did. The environment was amazing, our server was knowledgable and helpful, and best of all... the food was wonderful!!! It really made the dinner... more

So while staying on Waikiki Beach on our honeymoon we were in search of a dinner spot on night 2. We had spent the day at the beach and didn't feel like going all out that night, just wanted a simple dinner. My husband had chosen an italian restaurant near our hotel from the guide book we were referencing during... more

The restaurant is very busy due to its location alone the Wikiki Hotel and shoping strips. Serivce is excellent and quick. The 3 course tasting menu is a greate value. For the budget conscious, I recommend sharing the appetizer and desert between two people and ordering a stand alone entree. To go all out, have one person order the tasting... more

Great place for asian fusion type food. Excellent miso fish and chocolate souffle. I would pass on the french onion soup. It was not the usual french onion soup - too salty, not much onions or cheese. Service and atmosphere was great. more

The food was wonderful, the service fantastic, the presentation elegant, but I could not hear myself think or talk. We were seated in the main dining room. I guess this is the way most popular restaurants operate, but I was not happy. My advice is to sit at the bar, which my husband says was much quieter. Definitely make a... more

After hearing all the great reviews we decided to have our final dinner at Roys well that was a mistake to say the very least. The restaurant was noisy but to complain about the guests would not be proper. My wife ordered the Macadamia fish terrible no flavor tastless it appered that the cook just put a handfull of nuts... more

Roy's has long been a favorite of ours in New York and Tokyo, so we naturally wanted to check out this location at the end of our trip to celebrate our engagement. We found they had all of our preferred menu options (my standby butterfish was served with a different sauce - I liked it even better than the one... more
