Good food

I always come back for the butter fish when I'm in town. Service can be hit and miss. The wait staff is knowledgeable of the menu.

This restaurant came highly recommended online and from some locals. While the ambiance wasn't as good a other choices, the food was superb. The only real detraction to the ambiance was it was rather loud. That said, our appetizer of 'Frying Dragon' was absolutely delicious. Dinner was Macadamia Nut Crusted White Fish which was highly enjoyed by two diners. The... More

If you have ever eaten at a Roy's you know what to expect: great food, great service. This was our first time at this particular Roy's and the set up is different than others we have been to, but we shrugged it off to the busyness that is Waikiki. From the moment we walked in we were forgotten. Our server... More

Stopped by the bar at Roy's to enjoy a couple of drinks and appetizers. Roy's Waikiki is a little off the beaten path and doesn't have a particularly great view of anything other than traffic coming and going from the next door hotels. I went there knowing that I wasn't going to dine in the restaurant, but rather sit at... More

After a long flight from Texas, my wife and I had decided to eat T Roy's based on the reviews we had seen. We had made reservations beforehand and was seated quickly. While browsing the menu, a waiter brought us a free appetizer instead of bread like a lot of resteraunts do. We decided to get the 3 course pre-fixe... More

So we are in Honolulu for a week before heading out to Kauai and it was my wife's 50th so I wanted to make a reservation at a nice restaurant. I had heard that Roy's was excellent so I called and set the date. The place was very busy as it was a sunday night, but we were seated right... More

We returned here for another farewell to Hawaii blowout. Had an epic meal. Great service. Nice sushi made in creative ways with really good fish. Watermelon poke appetizer is superb. Had steaks and fish for dinner, all great. The pineapple upside down cake dessert is spectacular. We loved everything about this visit.

i remembers Roy's from when we lived in Hawaii and used to go out to the Hawaii Kai location as a special real. I was very pleased to see they now have a Waikiki location though I must. Admit they see to have adopted to the tourist scene-most Waikiki tourists wouldn't venture out to Hawaii Kai. I sat at the... More

First, let me say that I LOVE Roy's, and have eaten at several of them around the country (Desert Ridge in Scottsdale, Chicago, Naples, FL). Amazing food with an emphasis on excellent seafood. Well-trained, knowledgeable servers who can give you solid recommendations on the menu. My teenage daughter is vegetarian and it's a place that she always enjoys as well,... More
