Off the beaten path, locals.

There are many tours places on Waikiki but this just off Waikiki that is more of a locals place. The prices for the two of use sharing the Boca Rota, two entrees and desert plus tip was $100. The Boca Rota and the Hobo is very good and something that you will remember. Would good back.

Great atmosphere here. We went early and it was still busy. About a 15-20 minute walk from heart of Waikiki or get the bus from Kuhio Ave no 2 or 13. We tried the ceviche, chicken wings and Cajun ahi sashimi, they were all good and the serving size was decent for the price, each dish about $10-$12. 3 pupus... More

We have spent a week in Wakiki and uncle Bo's is by far the best food. Reasonably priced and a great food selection. We tried oyster shooters, king crab legs Cajun tuna and ceviche . Everything was great. My wife loved the lava drink. With a few drinks bill was about $100.00

Would go back, wish we had one!!! This was the best in Honolulu. Local fish with remoulade sauce, either grilled, or steamed was 2 thumbs up!!! Reasonable price. Short Bus ride from the Honolulu area.

Ok you are staying on Waikiki. The restaurants all have tourists. Now take a 15 minute walk just on the other side of the Ala Wei and you have where the locals go. Uncle Bo's has everything - cocktails, wine, beer and a myriad of food that is not as expensive or as refined as you see on the beach... More

On a recent trip to Honolulu, Hawaii we asked the front desk attendent if there are any local good food places within walking distance of our hotel(Hotel Renew). He recommended Uncle Bo's. We took his suggestion and made the walk to this restaurant, about a mile. A pleasant walk from the hotel on a beautiful early evening. We found the... More

I wish we found out about this place earlier in our travels. Reasonably priced menu, fantastic and attentive service. Ceviche was so-so but I come from Texas where good ceviche can be found along the coast. The spinach salad had the perfect blend of flavors. The SOS had just the right kick. Would definitely return

It is off the beaten track and so there are more locals than tourists there. The food was great as I was really craving some seafood which is what I thought Waikiki would have loads of but no it does not. The place was recommended to us buy the photographer at PF Changs and I have to say it was... More

Great drinks and food! At 6 pm on. Tuesday they were full! (Make a reservation if possible) - but we were able to eat at the bar. I had 2 cocktails (the Malaysian Mule was incredible) ... We ordered the "feast" to share and had the hobo ( taro donuts for desert) +2 beers the bill was $100. The food... More

Uncle Bo's hands down has to be one of my favorite restaurants in Honolulu! Only down side in my opinion is the location. If you're not from here, it can be a little intimidating just because Kapahulu is not full of people and tourist walking around and the lights aren't as bright as Waikiki. But don't be discourage because it... More
