Furikake ahi tuna

We ordered giro kale and the catch of the day. The furikake is the best seared tune I have ever had. The catch of the day was good, but the furikake had us all wishing we had ordered the seared tuna. Nice to sit outside.

We just ate at Nico's at Pier 38 and had a wonderful meal. We got there at 7:00 pm on a Thursday and had a 10 minute wait for an outside table. Cool breeze with a table on the water were an extra plus. Most had the fresh ahi tuna and it was delicious. I had the crab cake and... More

I travel on business a lot and I want to eat local when I do. Nico's is right by the commercial fishing piers overlooking the harbobther and lots of fishing boats. But they know the value of making an eating place attractive. There is outdoor seating and indoor (meaning covered and vented with fans in Hawaii) to accommodate tan and... More

This place cooks only fresh seafood. Our fish was caught that morning. We started with an appetizer that was like spinach and artichoke dip except it had crab in it. Really great! Our entrees were the fish of the day which was Opah fish. It was my first time trying it and I really loved it. It came with a... More

Nico's was on a list of places recommended to us by a local. We arrived at 6pm and had to wait about 10 mins for a table by the window. The server was prompt and helpful. We both selected fish - ahi & swordfish both of which were cooked to perfection, followed up with two different cheesecakes for desert. Great... More

We went to Nico's to try it out because we had heard good things about the food. The restaurant is located a little out of the way at the seaport where the fish is brought in from the ocean, and not located where it is accessible to Waikiki. As we had a rental car, it was easy to find, and... More

The food was amazing. I had the Opah daily special and it was to die for. Followed by the passion fruit tart, which he flies in every day. All of it was incredible. The service was flawless. I would go back here in a heartbeat and definitely will eat there on my next trip to Honolulu. Casual and comfortable.

We arrived around 5:15pm, and got seated right away in the outdoor eating area. It was happy hour, so my husband and I enjoyed a Kona Longboard for $4 each. We ordered the seared ahi and the seafood pasta. The ahi was great, and the ginger garlic cilantro dipping sauce was very, very tasty! The rice wasn't that great, and... More

We learned the trick is to skip the line and mosey up to the bar. Great food and big portions. Try their version of the mai thai. Very good!

We met friends who are visiting from California at Nico's for dinner. We sat outdoors, which was less noisy than inside seating. The sun was still very bright at 6pm and we just adjusted our seating until the sun went down a little after 7. Service was very good and the seafood we ordered was fresh and well-prepared. The ceviche... More
