We stopped in for breakfast & were pleasantly surprised by the swordfish omellette...YUMMY! It was so damn delish that we walked around the docks & fish auction warehouse just to kill an hour to go back and try the Opah from the lunch menu. It was better than Crouching Lion, Hailewai Joe's, Oceanarium or anything else on Waikiki!

I don't know what it is, but once a restaurant makes it on Triple D, it either stays good or, like Nico's, it turns to the dark side. Nico's used to be a small place with quality food at a good price. But once, Triple put it on the map, it's become just another restaurant. Don't get me wrong. The... More

We were on vacation and my husband wanted fresh seafood for dinner. We took a $40. cab ride to Nico's Pier 38 thinking with a name like that there should a lot of great seafood choices. We were immediately disappointed when we looked at the menu. Very few fish selections. The food itself was alright but round trip cab ride... More

After renting a car to drive around the island, a friend recommended Nico's as more of a local restaurant, so we tried it for dinner before our car was due back. It sits on Pier 38 (free parking and very easy to get to) where you can sit inside next to a garage door type opening for shad but feeling... More

I probably shouldn't even write a review since I don't eat seafood but I figure I can cover the rest. While I had read some reviews of Nico's during my pre-trip research, we actually just stumbled upon it while extricating ourselves from Chinatown (where we were trying to go to lunch was closed that day) The staff that took our... We had a great night with excellent food. The appetizers were really good, the main meals were perfect, and the desserts topped everything off nicely. The outside seating was also very comfortable with a view of the harbor. The service was the best we have had the whole trip.

While in Hawaii we saw this restaurant reviewed on TV so we decided to try it and we were not disappointed. We went there for lunch before we flew back to the mainland. The restaurant was filled with a lot of military personnel and other locals. I had a cajun flavored fish which was good but my wife's "catch of... More

Saw it on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives, wanted good fresh seafood. This place fit the bill. Got there a little after 5 pm, had no wait for an indoor table. By 5:30 the wait was 20 minutes. The artichoke dip appetizer was very good. The watercress and nicsoise salads were awesome. But the main course was where the restaurant shined.... More

Why pay $40 each way for a cab ride from Waikiki to this restaurant? Because of the fish. I'm told the fish is fresh from the market daily, and it would appear to benefit the menu. I had a thinly sliced fillet of tuna- it was well seasoned, nicely cooked. I asked for medium rare and was momentarily disappointed as... More
