We ate here twice on our last trip and were very impressed with the food quality. A more extensive kid's menu would have been nice although the smoothies on the menu were a nice and rare treat for a Waikiki restaurant. the chicken was divine. Pick up a coupon for free salad and dessert in many of the available discount... more

(Dinner Review...) This is #9 on TripAdvisor??? The view is as advertised--fantastic--but I can't recommend Hula Grill. The prix fixe menu seemed like a good deal at $25 per/3 courses (served until 6PM), but the food had problems. The appetizers were the crab cakes, caesar salad, & ceviche (ordered separately from the pf menu). The two crab cakes were delicious,... more

This place is right above Duke's and has a great view. The same view as Duke's. It also has entertainment in the evening. The breakfast is great, I had the banana pancakes topped with coconut and mac nuts be sure and ask for the coconut syrup. Yummy. Breakfast was so great we thought we would try dinner here. Not so... more

We were going to Dukes but the line was so long and was approached about the Hula Grill. There was no wait and we got a booth with an awesome view. We were waited asap with drinks constantly being refilled and the food was wonderful. The portions are large you should share. The appetizer was small but good. We left... more

My husband and I stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki, and we were so impressed with Duke's breakfast and dinner, we decided to try Hula Grill. The dinner was better than breakfast by far. It was actually pretty good, but the only reason the service gets a 2 is because of our waitress at dinner. She was good, but the service... more

We recently had breakfast at the Hula Grill and were very pleased. The view from the patio is amazing. I thought it was even better than Duke's down stairs. We had a table by the rail with a great view of the Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head. They have a great selection of breakfast items and everything was delicious. I... more

Just finished our first trip to Hawaii. When we asked friends who had previously been to Honolulu for a decent restaurant with a view of Waikiki, two names kept coming up - Duke's and Hula Grill, and the reviews on Trip Advisor seemed to support those recommendations. Our first night in Honolulu (a Thursday) we tried to get in without... more

Our friends brought us to this restaurant for breakfast on our first morning in Honolulu. What a pleasant surprise! We were seated right at the side overlooking the beach. The prices were reasonable, and the presentation was appetizing. Our waitress was nice, laid back and we did not feel rushed at all. We were so impressed we went back later... more

We love going to Dukes but it can get pretty noisy-go upstairs to the Hula Grill for Happy Hour-get there early and grab a table that gives you a view of the beach-you can still hear the music downstairs-Henry Kapono on Sundays!!! The appetizers are really good and a decent price. more
