The setting is quite beautiful with a view of the century-old Kiawe tree and the ocean. At lunch, the Caesar salad with the addition of ahi was excellent. At dinner, the mahi was delicious. For dessert, the Halekulani Signature Coconut Cake is excellent. The evening Hawaiian music show under the Kiawe tree, with the hula dancer, enhance cocktails and/or dinner.... More

There are two reasons to go here. The first is the most authentic and most delicious mai-tais on the island of Oahu, and the second is the really outstanding Hawaiian music every evening. There are lots and lots of places where you can have mai-tais, but this is the only place in Waikiki (at least that I've been to) that... More

My husband and I spent our 30th anniversary here and had such an enjoyable evening. They don't take reservations so It's best to come at 5:00 to get a prime table. Our waitress Jan was so nice to us and very attentive to our needs. We had a light dinner which was good but you have to try the Signature Coconut... More

House Without a Key is the most casual restaurant at the wonderful Halekalani hotel. You can sit outside for drinks and listen to the small band that plays traditional Hawaiian music with a hula dancer nightly. Very relaxing, but if you want to sit outside for the full experience, go early, i.e. 5 or 5:30pm. You can also order appetizers... More

Great value and the best location on Waikiki to view the amazing Hawaiian sunsets. Unbeatable Mai Tai's and if you decide to eat I can highly recommend the Coconut Crusted Shrimp with mango sauce and for lunch Joy's Crab Sandwich is hard to go past. Live music and Hulu dancing at sunset really makes this a must do when visiting... More

And sunset view. Beware though the Mai Tais are very strong. Thursday night menu was good my wife loved the Mahi Mahi and I liked the ribs quite well. To give you an idea of price the Mai Tais are $14.

Great view, live music, hula dancing-reasons to go. The mai tai was served with a lot of crushed ice, not the best I've had but good. Food choices were very limited and pricey. I ended up getting an appetizer and soup as nothing else really appealed to me. My friend had the curry dish and enjoyed it. The live music... More

We stayed at the Halekulani hotel and ate at the house without a key, exceptional food and service, also Melissa the hostess was a real superstar. One good tip is to get to the restaurant early and listen to the band and then watch the sunset. The band starts at 545pm and a dancer comes on at 615pm, she is... More

The title says it all. We went there on September 2014 because of the good reviews. I think the service and ambience were good, however, the food was not even tasty, in my opinion, and it was expensive. I would rather eat in a fast food than go back to this place.

We went for cocktails and pupu's on Friday evening and it was a lovely evening!! Located in the Halekulani Hotel the location is perfect and right on the beach!! The views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head are incredible!! The entertainment was very nice and wasn't distracting while carrying on conversation with our friends. It isn't an inexpensive night out... More
