We love to have dinner here! The owner, and chef, painted murals on the walls and ceilings to resemble the ageless Italian flair. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgable. The food is wonderful. I like the Boar sausage pasta. The sauce is so good. My husband likes the seafood pasta. You really cannot go wrong with any choice.... More

The food is good but the view is superb. The owner has painted Vatican size murals on all of the walls and they are extraordinary. Our server was delightful and my veal Bolognese was quite good. My husband chose a pasta dish with mushrooms and bacon and really enjoyed it, saying that the pasta was cooked just right. We shared... More

We were on the last leg of a 3 island sojourn in Hawaii and were getting the high price/mediocre restaurant fatigue that sets in when one visits the Aloha state. This restaurant was a great and pleasant surprise. The restaurant is a typical trattoria; wood tables, no tablecloths at lunch, down to earth ambience. There is plenty of room between... More

The ambiance sweeps you way to Italy with the hand painted murals. I ordered the Pollo Gorgonzola $16.75 with tender chicken breast, pancetta and mushroom in a pink gorgonzola whiskey sauce with Penne. It was the best pasta dish ever. The other dish was the Pasta Limone which was very lemony and flavorful. The service was top notch! I would... More

Cafe Sistina used to be a very good restaurant. Not any more! Reservations for 6 to celebrate graduation. Service extremely slow, food was terrible - sauces with very bad/odd tastes, never brought our wine, pasta overcooked, would not remake our bad dishes, one order didn't come out until 30 minutes after everyone else had their entrees, very bad experience. Will... More

Love the paintings in Cafe Sistina and love the fresh bread that they serve with their garlic butter aioli. The pasta is average - been there several times now and I'm still not impressed with the entrees. We had a sausage penne pasta - sausage was overdone and hard and a Pasta Limon - that was better with the fresh... More

First of all, the decor was awesome. I've been to Italy three times and for me it felt like I walked into a restaurant in Italy. They had the traditional Italian dishes plus some Chefs originals, like the fish dish "opakapaka Mediterrania" and lobster ravioli. I had the penne melanzane with the eggplant and mozzarella cheese and I loved it.... More

The ambiance is elegant and romantic, quiet and well decorated, the staff is very helpful and on point, never under staff. I think the reason why this place runs so well is because the owner, a real Italian:Sergio Mitrotti is always there. I don't think there has been one single time we had gone to eat dinner that we don't... More

Enchanting venue. The attentive friendly service enhanced the meal. The food was both great and lacking. The spaghetti pomodoro was terrific! Perfectly timed pasta with chunky tomato, fresh basil sauce. The lasagna disappointed. Thin, a bit overdone noodles layered with unremarkable meat sauce, a translucent layer of melted cheese on the top. And…? And done. That's it! The lasagna was... More
