Did they switch chefs? Don't go here...Go to Sabrina's

There are very few decent restaurants near the Blaisdell Concert Hall. We dined here before the opera. The servers were aware that we needed to be at the opera before 8:00 and made certain that service, although not feeling rushed, was fast enough that we could be on our way in time. The service was excellent. The food had some... More

Café Sistina on King Street, a few blocks in-between Downtown and the University area, came highly recommended to me by several locals. Most would tell you its among the two or three good local Italian restaurants here (although I still prefer Assaggio across from the Kahala Mall). Nonetheless, you will have a very good meal here featuring a untraditional Italian... More

This restaurant serves very tasty, food in a modern, eclectic atmosphere. The art on the walls is wonderful and provides a topic of discussion during dinner. If you are a meat eater, I suggest trying one of the sausage dishes -- they are really good and a bit unusual. Everyone in my party of 8 loved their food. Oh, and definitely... More

We love to have dinner here! The owner, and chef, painted murals on the walls and ceilings to resemble the ageless Italian flair. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgable. The food is wonderful. I like the Boar sausage pasta. The sauce is so good. My husband likes the seafood pasta. You really cannot go wrong with any choice.... More

The food is good but the view is superb. The owner has painted Vatican size murals on all of the walls and they are extraordinary. Our server was delightful and my veal Bolognese was quite good. My husband chose a pasta dish with mushrooms and bacon and really enjoyed it, saying that the pasta was cooked just right. We shared... More

We were on the last leg of a 3 island sojourn in Hawaii and were getting the high price/mediocre restaurant fatigue that sets in when one visits the Aloha state. This restaurant was a great and pleasant surprise. The restaurant is a typical trattoria; wood tables, no tablecloths at lunch, down to earth ambience. There is plenty of room between... More

The ambiance sweeps you way to Italy with the hand painted murals. I ordered the Pollo Gorgonzola $16.75 with tender chicken breast, pancetta and mushroom in a pink gorgonzola whiskey sauce with Penne. It was the best pasta dish ever. The other dish was the Pasta Limone which was very lemony and flavorful. The service was top notch! I would... More

Cafe Sistina used to be a very good restaurant. Not any more! Reservations for 6 to celebrate graduation. Service extremely slow, food was terrible - sauces with very bad/odd tastes, never brought our wine, pasta overcooked, would not remake our bad dishes, one order didn't come out until 30 minutes after everyone else had their entrees, very bad experience. Will... More

Love the paintings in Cafe Sistina and love the fresh bread that they serve with their garlic butter aioli. The pasta is average - been there several times now and I'm still not impressed with the entrees. We had a sausage penne pasta - sausage was overdone and hard and a Pasta Limon - that was better with the fresh... More
