A delightful Lanai under the hau tree. Service was good and the menu excellent. Choice of local fresh fish made for delicious meals, but in addition we had the added atmosphere provided by sunset over Waikiki and Friday night fireworks.

This beachside restaurant has lanai dining around an ancient hau tree. We went for the sunset, but found the multiple choices of kinds of fish and types of preparation quite a wonderful dining experience on our last night in Hawaii.

We stayed at the Lotus at Diamond Head and the concierge pointed us to this restaurant next door. We had no idea that we'd saunter into paradise and be seated at an ocean view table, under a gorgeous big tree with twinkling lights and tiki torches. We were literally feet from the ocean, taking in views of Honolulu's night time... More

we got free breakfast with our hotel stay, so we ate here two mornings. We had pretty simple food, so it is hard to rate it, but I will say that the atmosphere is dated, but nice. It's as close as you can get to dining on the beach without actually getting your feet in the sand. We enjoyed that... More

After several days of beautiful weather but only mediocre kitschy (and overpriced) food in Waikiki, we were thrilled to discover this beautiful experience on our last night in town.

My husband and I had the best Thanksgiving brunch at Hau Tree Lanai yesterday. Our reservation was for 10 am which worked out very well. We had a table right by the railing to the beach. The views were beautiful - there was even a couple having wedding photos taken on the beach! The tastiest food was the turkey, sage... More

This excellent restaurant is in the New Otani Kaimana Hotel in Honolulu. The restaurant setting is enchanting, right on an uncrowded beach, with ocean breezes gently cooling us. We both had the chef's special for the evening and every bit of it was delicious. We also had lunch here the next day and and my chicken salad and fruit plate... More

I always look forward to this gem. The food is only surpassed by the view. Lobster that is tender, not stringy, fish cooked to perfection and a staff who genuinely loves their job. It just does not get any better. Who cares about the price. When the food and view combine to perfection, it is worth every penny
