Being the best restaurant on the beach isn't saying that much as they are typically overpriced and generally bland. The atmosphere here is the best. The food is good. The service was a bit lax but we were there late. We definitely enjoyed the meal and would go again. more

I had dinner with my parents on a Sunday evening, right around 5:30pm. We got a best spot for the sunset. The food is very good and price is reasonable for the location. I had filet mignon and my parents ordered seafood mix grill( lobster, scallops, mahimahi, and shrimp), both are perfectly cooked. The service is excellent, not overly friendly, paid... more

My wife and I had lunch here while in Honolulu. I recommend lunch because of the lunch prices, the view, and smaller crowds. Make a reservation and ask for one of the front row seats. We had a 1:00 reservation and had to wait about 5 minutes for our table. We would have been glad to have waited longer. We... more

This restaurant was patronised by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson and he had the expected good taste. This is a wonderful setting beside the sea; the outside restaurant is covered by a beuatiful tree. Service is excellent and a sommelier advises on the wines. Prices are value for money. The food is excellent. We went twice and thought it would... more

Loved this restaurant. The food was delicious, service excellent and it was also child friendly without being overly "family-style". (We brought our five year old son.) The ocean-front seating is a great place to watch the sunset. We would definitely go back again. more

My title says it all. The food is good...probably one of the better places for breakfast in Waikiki (because for some reason Hawaii doesn't do breakfast well). But the best part is being under a huge tree overlooking the beach. Whenever we're down in Waikiki for breakfast, we try to make it here. more

We were at Hau Tree Lanai on a Sunday evening, right around 7 pm, 6/28/09. The sun was getting ready to set; there were many still on the beach waiting around. We had a great seat, right on the railing. I enjoyed the special that evening which was Opakapaka, a pink salmon, which was very good. We also a split... more

This ended up being our "expensive" night out. It was around $100 for 2 of us but very good and worth it. We did not make reservations but they were fine with seating us. We arrived around 8:00. We attempted to go a couple nights earlier, walking from Waikiki, but the street does not have good lighting and we didn't... more

I had a coupon from the entertainer so we decided to go. We walked down the beach and it wasn't quite what I expected but it was very nice. I got some great pics of the sunset. The food was amazing. I had the mahi mahi plate. It's very expensive and classy. Probably wont go there again, but I had... more
