Wonderful setting, solid dinner!

We ate here on our last night in Honolulu before heading over to Maui. What a lovely, lovely restaurant! We were seated right near the base of the tree, such a tranquil setting. I made sure we would be there just prior to sunset and that we'd still be there for the Friday night fireworks. I had... read more

What a very special place to have lunch with a friend. Pastel pink table cloths with white fancy wrought iron chairs beneath the famed hau tree (hundreds of tangled branches reaching over the generous lanai) is the perfect setting for an enjoyable meal. My Caesar salad was scrumptious and my friend's chicken salad in a papaya surrounded with fresh fruit... More

The location is fantastic if want to see the sunset in Waikiki. This end of the beach is not as manic as the other end in front of the big chain hotels, this gives the restaurant a more relaxed quiet atmosphere. The food and wine are great and the staff as always are very friendly. The food is quiet expensive... More

The Hau Tree Lanai is a nice place for breakfast with a view of Kaimani Beach in Waikiki. Their menu is extensive and it seemed that everybody was ordering the Eggs Bennedict and so did we and it was quite tasty. The Belgian Waffle however sucked as it was chewy and not crisp. The view is nice but it's better... More

The restaurant really needs to be updated. It is a beautiful setting but everything looks really old. The restaurant is outdoors so the waiters were sweating. It was not very appealing. The food was very expensive and did not match our tastes.

Hau Tree never disappoints us. We come here every trip to Oahu and it never gets old. Alan, our waiter is terrific and so is the whole team. Every seat is great and the views /sunsets are spectacular.

Excellent food and service. located almost on the sand. The prices here are not an indication of the quality and variety of the menu. Bookings are essential

We have been coming here for years. The tiki torches under the has tress on the oceanfront lanai make it a magical place. The live mellow guitar music makes it even more romantic. The sashimi is outstanding and so are the desserts. Don't miss this place.

This is a very romantic restaurant in the Queen Kapiolani Hotel. The seating area is situated beneath two very old Banyon trees, directly on the beach. The sunsent dining experience is lovely, with a stunning sunset. Our meal was top notch. We tried things we'd never heard of and ate all of it. The waiter was superb and very attentive.... More

If they didn't have such a wonderful and delicious menu we would still go there for the ambiance and views. Makes my top ten on Oahu. We have reservations for next week.
