perfect place for breakfast/lunch

the classic benedict is ono, and the rueben sandwich is also fabulous. if you're lucky you'll get to sit right under the tree and enjoy the view of the beach right before you. The only thing is if you dislike pigeons and birds, you may want to ask for a seat inside since birds are always looking... read more

Make a reservation, ask for a table on the lower patio on the rail looking over the beach. the food is wonderful, our waiter was excellent and the view at sunset was breathtaking. I had the steak and my wife had fish, we sampled each others, both were very well cooked. Getting to the place, that took a while as... More

After 5 years we decided to try this restaurant again. We were extremely disappointed. We were a party of 6 with 2 children. Three of us had the 5-course meal special and to our amazement the waitress, although nice, didn't know her left foot from her right. The bill came to over $600 which was too high for the quality... Very expensive but totally worth it. The Hau Tree Lanai is outside under a huge Hau tree. The food is excellent and the service outstanding. Tables are not crowded together and the atmosphere is relaxed and elegant atmosphere. It is right on the beach so you can hear the waves. Yes it is pricey but this one is worth it.

We celebrated a birthday in Waikiki recently, and when I was looking for somewhere to go for dinner, this place came up. The setting is fantastic, right at the base of Diamond Head, on the beach, so perfect for a view of sundown, which was spectacular. As it was a Friday night, we also got a great view of the... More

This is a nice, understated, open air restaurant in the New Otani Hotel on Kaimana Beach. They are known for their breakfast/brunch menu & are a frequent stop for locals. It is always busy- best to make a reservation or be prepared to wait. The little poi pancakes & fried rice dishes are a nice treat after a healthy walk... More

The location is absolutely gorgeous -- well worth the 10 minute walk from central Waikiki. The restaurant is right on a very quiet beach and in the middle of the restaurant is a beautiful tree which you sit right under during your meal. The service was great -- friendly, prompt but not rushing you at all, gave good wine advice.... More

Eating breakfast right on the edge of the beach watching the morning waves. Attentive staff but it's best to make reservations for breakfast as everyone in the hotel wants to eat here. Great location but a bit pricey.

The restaurant is located within the Omani Kaimana Beach Hotel, which sits right on the beach. The tables are outside sitting underneath huge beautiful Hau Trees! A truly romantic & relaxing setting. I only wish the food was as wonderful as the ambiance! It is NOT! The fish was ok - nothing special or worth having again, and the vegetarian... More

My wife and I were looking for a place to have breakfast and we found the best kept secret in Waikiki. A very romantic and relaxing atmosphere with a million dollar view. The staff was friendly and courteous, with a genuine interest to serve each and every guest. This is absolutely a must visit while you're in Oahu.
