We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning around 7:30a. Since we did not have a reservation we sat in the bar lounge area, which was actually quite nice - and no worries about the birds - bonus! They have several eggs benedict choices but we usually go with the classic because it's so good. The Kaimana Breakfast is also... More

Breakfast is wonderful at this outdoor restaurant under a beautiful spreading tree on the picturesque Kaimana beach. This is a quieter beach than central Waikiki. Restaurant is located in the New Otari Kaimana Beach Hotel, small quiet hotel. Breakfast food is wonderful ( I have only eaten there for breakfast). Service is suburb. The restaurant is not large so reservations... More

Reserved a table here early for our last dinner in Oahu and when we arrived were shown a table overlooking the beach and watched the beautifull sunset. Our party of 4 ordered drinks & appetizers which were superb. For entrees 2 of us ordered the mixed seafood grill, one the mahi mahi with crab & avacado and one the scampi... More

This place is located within the Hilton Hawaiian Village complex. We had lunch here. 2 small pizzas and a couple drinks were $46. They were pretty tasty. We sat on the patio, open air looking right out on the beach. Some shade from trees in spots, but it was sunny and a little warm where we sat in spite of... More

My wife and I really enjoyed our lunch at Hau Tree. We were staying next door at the Lotus and decided to not have dinner at Hau Tree because, frankly, the prices seemed very high (not unlike many of the Waikiki area restaurants). The lunch, however, was delicious, the portions were large and the shade provided by the trees made... More

My wife and I had a wonderful pre 30th anniversary dinner. This venue is beautiful. We came for sunset. Our table was situated under this magnificent tree that had a nice view of the ocean and sunset. Mike, our waiter, and staff did a great job taking care of us for our special night. I had a Mai Tai to... More

This is the restaurant attached to the hotel at which we were staying which was top-notch- right on the beach but just downstairs at the hotel. Of greater significance however, is that we could sit where Robert Louis Stevenson did some of his Hawaii writing! The Hau Tree itself is fantastic- all encompassing and reasonably splendiferous.

We went here for our last dinner in Hawaii and it was such a wonderful choice! Since we had made an early reservation, we were immediately seated by the railings and got a gorgeous review of the beach as well as the sunset later on. The outdoor setting of the restaurant makes a laid back, lovely atmosphere that is perfect... More

Sit and dine in a restaurant built around a tree! The ambiance was nice and service excellent! If you are in Waikiki, try to dine here! We did not sit directly next to the rail, which looked straight out onto the beach, but it turned out to be ok because you could see and hear the beachgoers. Also, we went... More
