Talk about great food! You have to try their fried rice, serves probably 5,and the fried pork chops? Please! I'm from the South and these are the best I've ever had. Two locations so pick one!

No frillls restaurant very popular with the locals. Hardly looks like a restaurant from the outside as it's located in a very nondescript office building with only a sign on the glass door. Once you walk in though and see the big crowds you get the idea you're probably in for a good meal. Excellent local food pupu style with... More

The Side Street Inn was recommended to a co-worker and me on a recent trip to Honolulu. We spent roughly 10 to 15 minutes driving in circles trying to find the place thanks to our GPS and were happy to see valet parking for only $5 since there is virtually no parking in the alley where the restaurant is located.... After planning to try this place for the last few years, we finally made it this trip. It definitely lived up to expectations. We first had the ceasar salad. We tried to order a full size, since we both love salad and were going to split. Our very friendly and helpful waitress, strongly suggested that the half size would be... More

One of my favorite greasy spoon restaurants. Love all there food from their fried rice, chicken, pupus, and cold drinks. Great place to meet with family and friends for a social fun time. Always great food, smiling faces, and quality for a affordable price.

We didn't know where to eat and were talking to a local lady who recommended Side Street Inn. The waitress started by saying "Let me just warn you, this is a family style restaurant." Man was she right. Between the 2 of us we ordered a fried rice and a chicken. Seriously we were eating chicken and rice for DAYS!!!... More

Wow this place is busy, and it's for a reason. We went to the one in Honolulu (not Waikiki) and we settled in quickly despite the crowd. The service was really efficient and thorough. We ordered knowing the portions were huge and weren't disappointed. The steak and boneless Kalbi were so delicious - best we had in Oahu. We also... More

Don't miss this beat up charmer that boasts lots of local flavor. Try Kim Chee fried rice, pork ribs, and the pork sliders are to die for. They are served in pillowy puffs of bread. Meat is tender, with just enough BBQ sauce. Warning! This is not diet food. So, "If no can, no can. If can, Side Street Inn."... More

Portions are large & should be share family style . . . Better for 4+ people, if want to sample restaurant favorites... For 2 people, better to order as typically do in proper courses. Disappointed with last few visits to newer Kapalua location, which has a much nicer atmosphere and bar area (but also had cockroach peeping our of chopstick... More
