good local food

great local food! A bit pricey but overall the food was good. On the weekends it gets really crowed so its best to make reservations.

I heard about this place from the TV show Hawaii Five-0...the characters talked a lot about going here for a drink after catching the bad guys!...so I had to check it out. Very local and nothing fancy, but the food and staff were great.

You can't beat a mountain of fried rice and pork chops after a long hard day shopping at Ala Moana. This meal combination has a good balance of carbs and protein, albeit at giant portions. The pork chops are nicely flavored and crispy, while the fried rice has a nice sweet but tasty flavor.

We frequently go to Side Street Inn with family as the food is good and also good value served family style. We always have the "Trinity" of lupchong fried rice, pork chops and house salad, then adding other dishes such as clams, smoked pork, crusted ahi and another fish. Peanut butter crusted brownie is always for dessert. Everyone hopes for... More

Stopped by this place on the recommendation of our food tour guide. OMG! Come with an appetite because the portions are huge! Served family style so me sure you have someone to share it with or you won't make a dent in your food! The Kalua pork sliders and the Kimchi fried rice were the bomb dot com!!

Very nice restaurant and is a hip place for dinner. Lots of big screen TV's for sporting events at the bar. Meals are very generous in portions. Wide selection on menu. Service is great. They take reservations and generally theFriday to Sunday periodds of time are very crowded

This wonderful gem sits next to a topless bar....please do not let that discourage you. This is very well worth it! We had the house special pork chops and fried rice. It's enough food for 3-4 people for sure. Very friendly staff, wonderful food. Will for sure go back on our next trip!

Came here on a recommendation from a local coworkers while visiting the island. Wow, blown away! They have two locations downtown, and both are always busy, so call ahead is a must! Inauspicious beginnings, literally on a side street sandwiched among offices and retail spaces downtown. Would probably have missed the place if it wasn't for the free valet. Food... More
