Read the reviews here on TA, was aware of Bourdain's visit - so was definitely jazzed to bring my family here. Short walk from Ala Moana Center (and the central bus station there, if you take the #8 from Waikiki as we did). SLIGHTLY sketchy neighborhood (SLIGHTLY, - I felt safe, my 14yo daughter did not) Had a reservation, but... More

This place was recommended to us by a coworker of my husband's. We also noticed it was in our Frommer's travel guide book. We decided we had to stop there while in Honolulu for our honeymoon. We took a cab since we were staying right on Waikiki. The cab driver didn't know where we meant when we asked for it... More

Went here cause I saw this location on Anthony Bourdain No Reservations! Huge portions of chinese food with Hawaiian & Portuguese influences! Looking for a late night spot to eat? Go here!

The food is really good. The decor is really simple. This is a local hang out. Everyone is nice. They have TV's for football season.

My boyfriend and I ate at the Side Street Inn and had an amazing meal! We got to the restaurant around 9pm and found a seat at the bar, because there was a wait at the door. Service was prompt, food was excellent, HUGE portions, great atmosphere... What more can I say? We totally felt like we were locals, which... More

Came here years ago after we saw Bourdain's No Reservations spot on this place. BIG portions so best to eat family style! Great funky atmosphere and good brews at the bar. Get here early because it books up quick. I think you can make reservations. Definitely get their famous fried pork chops, kimchee fried rice, and if they have the... More

Saw this place on No Reservations and had to come. Had a nice meal at the bar. Went with the famous fried pork chops, which were plenty tasty. The house ale is excellent and should not be missed. Service was friendly and fast. Good spot for sure.

Dishes are HUGE and are family style. Prepare to bring home leftovers! I've visited Hawaii twice and always make Side Street one of my stops. DRINKS: Mixed drinks are passable but I'd stick to beer. Don't get the lychee martini. There are only two sips in there. FOOD: Two dishes we get every time - Garlic Chicken and Kimchi Fried... More

I had routinely eaten here during the last 10 years. They cater to the "local" taste. I no longer live in Hawaii, so when I visited, this is the first place that I went. The food is superb, staff courtesy is fantastic, and it does not break the bank. Highly recommend!

This was my 2nd here and I loved it more than my first. bring lots of people because the portions are large. I always come with my husband and we love the kimchee fried rice. They also have a side street ale which is my favorite check it out! Thumbs up!
