We stopped in early on Sunday for breakfast which is the best time to go before it gets crowded. We ordered the Chinese omelet loaded with shrimp, bean sprouts, mushrooms, green peppers, and covered with a teriyaki soy sauce. Felt really stuffed after eating it but terrific. We went retro and ordered the S.O.S Special which is available only on... more

Lots of local folks and priced right. Not much atmosphere and very old decor. Food was filling and cheap. Pancakes were fine but nothing special. Only go for breakfast and don't expect much. We poked our heads in the attached bar and the decor was a blast from the past including a thatched roof - very "tiki". They seemed to... more

This was our first meal in Hawaii and it started our trip out on a sour note. I ordered a cheeseburger and what I got tasted nothing like any cheeseburger I've ever had before. It was gross. My boyfriend got some type of beef with gravy and noodles. I tried it and the beef was full of fat. Yuck!! But,... more

$5.75 for all you can eat pancakes served with eggs and bacon. Do I need to say more? This place is busy, but service was always fast. Almost too fast where they seem to try and get you out quickly to turn the tables again. more

I loved this place. I cannot say enough. Order #3 and you will be happy. The waitresses and staff were so nice everytime we came in. This place can get busy but the wait was very short. It is very old style but dont let that fool you one bit. It is a total diner atmosphere in the vintage style.... more

When I lived in Honolulu in the 70's we went to Wailana Coffee House mainly for their stuffed French toast. I salivate just thinking about it! I hope that when I visit again in March that it is still on the mentu. more

this is a classic diner with great aloha Spirit. Best for the BIG breakfasts - one of the BEST Eggs Benedict's out there and just $8.95. Seems to have gotten busier with recession sensetive touristas but god bless them they are a smart set that strolls to the Wailana. Lines can be long to get in - cut the line... more

For the last 25 years, my family and I had been visiting Hawaii every summer, and we always have meals, especially breakfasts at the Wailana. On late flights from California, we always manage to come to Wailana for a Mahi-Mahi sandwich, mac salad and pineapples/papaya. The breakfasts are great! What a pleasure to dine at familiar places where the servers... more
