We were the only one there! That should have been our first clue. The food was just OK. The prices were not bad, but I would rather pay more for better food.

Met a local at Buzz's and he recommended Champa. We enjoy spicy, flavorful Thai food and Champa really came through. We had Curry, Soup and Rice entrees with a few appetizers. All were cooked exactly as described. Only complaint.. the water glasses are to small, but they are always being refilled by the great wait staff

A good friend, also from the mainland, took me here as he's a frequent diner there. Very good and fresh. Service was friendly, but dishes arrived with little coordination - pretty much as the cook finished - and no discipline as to whether it was an appetizer or an entree. No liquor license, so BYOB. But, that certainly keeps the... More

Champa Thai Restaurant on Waialae Ave. has always been our favorite for Thai food. It's a small family owned restaurant with good prices and good food. They will cook something not on the menu or modify their dish upon request. Normally we have the Stuffed Chicken Wings as a starter, Green Papaya Salad, Tom Yum "Shrimp or Fish" or "you... More

Our first time at this restaurant, which we just happened to stumble upon during lunch time. There was only one other table of 3 besides our table of three. Lady waitress was very friendly and the food served was more 'home style' than fancy. All 3 of us enjoyed your lunch. Will go back when next in HNL!

Should have paid bill after MeeKrob came, just straight from bag with a drizzle of flavor/sauce, not even sweet. Garlic Eggplant was made of green as in raw eggplants and had no flavor of garlic and of course chewy. Red curry had some flavor but coconut milk had oil separating so not appetizing looking. After politely informing staff about all... More

Great food, my go-to restaurant when staying with family who are a 3-minute drive away but also a regular choice when staying in Kahala or passing that neighbourhood. BYOB if you choose to eat there, quick service for takeout, friendly staff at all times. Papaya salad is unbelivably good. Only ask for very spicy if you really mean it -... More

Years ago -- as in 15 -- this was our favorite neighborhood Thai restaurant in Honolulu, then suddenly the cooking fell off a cliff. They swore there had been no changes, but something major had happened. For a few years we'd try it periodically, but no go. We just went back, twice, and hallelujah, the magic has returned. So I... We enjoy the food but the great service is what keeps us coming back. The Pla Rad Prik is the perfect fish dish and the yellow curry with scallops is divine. This is a comfortable neighborhood restaurant worth the trip out of Waikiki.
