My husband, daughter, and I ate here upon the recommendation of our group's tour director. The aquarium atmosphere is fun without feeling like eating inside a theme park, though the restaurant does welcome you with a "mermaid." We had just arrived from Sydney that morning (a 10-hour redeye flight) and probably looked as zoned-out as we were feeling, so we... More

This buffet would be great for about $30 but we paid $50 each. The prime rib was good and they had a nice mixture of oriental and American foods. Service was good. I resented having to walk by a photographer hawking photo poses with a "mermaid" photos- there was no other way into the restaurant.

Not fresh and way overpriced... You can see the aquarium with the mermaids/divers swimming in it from the nearby lobby if you want. Basically, this is equivalent to your $14.99-$19.99 all you can eat buffets in the rest of the US serving a couple basic types of sushi/roll, tons of cheap not close to fresh/frozen (but steamed warm to serve)... The aquarium (2 stories tall) is a feature, but it's downhill from there. The place was full, that's OK, but the service was terrible. The wait staff just go through the motions - once you get a drink, you're lucky to be offered anything else, and even luckier if your water glass gets refilled. The food was very patchy -... More

This is not worth your time. We made reservations and were placed far away from the fish tank in a corner by the bathroom. The food was picked over and what was offered was awful. We ended up paying a high price for gross food. We went somewhere else afterwards.

The main feature of this restaurant is a huge aquarium with a scuba diver that feeds the fish, and puts up birthday greetings on the glass. The zoo part comes from the fact that it is a buffet, and is crowded with people coming and going. Service was barely adequate when we were there, which was surprising due to the... More

Waiting staff were lovely but the maitre'd was very rude to us and earlier to a colleague. Along with another couple we were kept waiting for 10 mins - I timed it and completely ignored! We hung in as we had a colleague waiting for us and we'd heard good things. There was lots of food but it was ordinary... More

I try to hit the Brunch when in Waikiki. It's the best of breakfast & lunch, with an omelet station, prime rib carving station, crab legs, numerous desserts & more. There is also a two-story aquarium in the dining room so you can watch all the fish. Prices are $$ but there is a lot of variety in the buffet.

This was the 5 th night for dinner in the Waikiki area and what a mistake it was to eat at the oceanarium! We booked a head of time so we could sit near the big fish tank and we got stuck in a corner, the service sucked and we had to keep asking for refills on drinks and very... More
