I last reviewed during a vacation last December and I am sad to report that since we moved home to Oahu this restaurant has bottomed out. The decor has changed and the upgrade is okay, but I miss the egg guy! He consistently made great omelets on weekends. Senior waitstaff are gone and the remaining staff are obviously unhappy and... My wife and I were very disappointed, I had been here a few times over the years, but it was her first time, we are both local residents. From the moment we walked in to the moment we departed, nobody smiled or otherwise made us feel welcome at all. The insect in the water glass didn't help matters. I was... More

New Eagle Café, located just off Nimitz, is easy to find. Parking can be a little tight since spaces are limited in front of the café and other businesses compete for them as well. Extra parking is located in the garage and up on top of the garage. However, at busy times, you may have to hunt a little while... More

Our first visit to the Eagle cafe in 5 years. Apparently under new ownership. We came this time with a half off voucher from LivingSocial. Food is still good. Still a popular place. We came at lunch and it was busy. Theyve also applied for liquor license so will be able to serve beer and wine.

The family and I went here for dinner and the restaurant is very nice and clean, they have a new owner and updated the decor very nicely. Our orders were: Sweet Garlic Chicken, BBQ Brisket, Chicken Katsu Curry and Misoyaki Butterfish. Our waitress was quick and our food arrived fast and steaming hot. While we were waiting, they passed around... More

Went there with a couple of girlfriends prior to a business meeting. Half of the restaurant was full. It was about 9:00A.M. in the morning. Considering it was a weekday it was moderately busy. We were seated quickly. Parking stalls right in front or you can park in the garage area for covered parking. The staff is really friendly and... More

When you visit Honolulu next time stop in at the Eagle Cafe for a great breakfast. We do and always enjoy it. In fact, we come back several times during a 2-3 week vacation. The omelettes are tender and delicious, the hash browns crispy, and the corn bread is superlative. This place is a basic diner so do not expect... More

New Eagle is a great place to eat. Locals routinely enjoy their favorites and a variety of food and lucky tourists that discover it return over and over too. The prices are reasonable, the wait staff friendly and the food is tasty!During dinner, sometimes they hand out FREE HOT BISCUITS from the kitchen to everyone in the place! Order the... More

Love the eggs benedict (on weekends only), the mahi breakfast (great deal), and the prime rib special. We've always been served nicely there and it's a favorite of our family!

My wife and I went to this lousy restaurant on February 20. We hadn't been there in quite a while and thought we would give it a try. Big mistake. My wife's breakfast wasn't cooked properly and she had to return it. By the time we got the "servers" attention to find out where her meal was, I was done... More
