Food is very good. We had the Kal Bi "korean short ribs", Opakapaka, Hawaiian chop steak, lamb curry. But this is only the tip of the iceberg. They have SPECIAL'S every day of the week. For example on Sun.,it's old fashioned stew, roast pork & turkey w/ gravy, broiled salmon and seafood stew. all this in addition to their regular... More

This place exceeded my expectations! Insane variety of dining choices. Big portions. Easy parking. Modest prices. Try the fried oysters & the Reuben. Too bad the coffee is weak (1 refill max, really?) and tossed salad is nothing but lettuce. Will be back when in the mood for local comfort food.

Have eaten here at the request of others for breakfast and lunch its continues to be not my restaurant of choice but acceptable. They have a good selection of local favorites and daily specials but the coffee shop style of cooking and presentation requires greater attention. Concerned with establishments that overcook their vegetables and food is bland. Wait staff are... More

This small, newly up-dated restaurant, is reliable. The menu provides a wealth of choices as well as daily specials. The food is local diner quality. If you want Alan Wong's, gotta go a few miles Diamond Head side. If you want tasty filling food at a reasonable price in a welcoming atmosphere, no need drive, stay here.

I last reviewed during a vacation last December and I am sad to report that since we moved home to Oahu this restaurant has bottomed out. The decor has changed and the upgrade is okay, but I miss the egg guy! He consistently made great omelets on weekends. Senior waitstaff are gone and the remaining staff are obviously unhappy and... My wife and I were very disappointed, I had been here a few times over the years, but it was her first time, we are both local residents. From the moment we walked in to the moment we departed, nobody smiled or otherwise made us feel welcome at all. The insect in the water glass didn't help matters. I was... More

New Eagle Café, located just off Nimitz, is easy to find. Parking can be a little tight since spaces are limited in front of the café and other businesses compete for them as well. Extra parking is located in the garage and up on top of the garage. However, at busy times, you may have to hunt a little while... More

Our first visit to the Eagle cafe in 5 years. Apparently under new ownership. We came this time with a half off voucher from LivingSocial. Food is still good. Still a popular place. We came at lunch and it was busy. Theyve also applied for liquor license so will be able to serve beer and wine.

The family and I went here for dinner and the restaurant is very nice and clean, they have a new owner and updated the decor very nicely. Our orders were: Sweet Garlic Chicken, BBQ Brisket, Chicken Katsu Curry and Misoyaki Butterfish. Our waitress was quick and our food arrived fast and steaming hot. While we were waiting, they passed around... More

Went there with a couple of girlfriends prior to a business meeting. Half of the restaurant was full. It was about 9:00A.M. in the morning. Considering it was a weekday it was moderately busy. We were seated quickly. Parking stalls right in front or you can park in the garage area for covered parking. The staff is really friendly and... More
