When you last this long in Chinatown, there's a simple explanation for their success: good food at reasonable prices. Walk up, point and pay. Each lunch has lots of rice (brown or white, thank you) and several entrees and veggie choices. Most offerings have meat in them (much like most Chinese... read more

If you are ever in the Chinatown Area, you have to go to Royal Kitchen to get the Baked Charsiu Manapua. The Manapua here at Royal Kitchen are so good because they are light,Fluffy, and so full of flavor. They do have other types of Baked Manapua but the real draw is the Baked Charsiu Manapua. You won't regret it,... More

Another place we stopped by while riding around on our scooters. This is another hole in the wall spot that by the looks most would keep riding past. But after you taste their manapua you will change your mind. Manapua are sweet soft puffy bread filled with many things depending on what you like. We ordered the chicken and Kalua... More

Royal Kitchen is a hole in the wall, but they have a great Hawaiian food called baked manapua. It is a stuffed Hawaiian bun. The bread is slightly sweet and they stuff them with things like pork, chicken, and purple sweet potato. This is real Hawaiian food.

This is the place to get baked manapua on Oahu. They have an assortment of different fillings such as char siu, portugese sausage, lup cheong, chicken, curry chicken, kalua pork, hot dog, sweet potato and I forget what else. They also have a small selection of Chinese food and my favorite is the chow fun noodles. Go early because the... More

We had several of the Manapua varieties available. Really liked the chicken curry and the char sui and even the hot dog was tasty. The bread is amazing so I imagine most of the fillings would be good. We had a hard time finding the Royal Kitchen using Google Maps walking directions and we were not able to park near... More

You have to find it downtown area but to me this is one of the best baked manapua to buy. It's best to order in advance for take out but when you get there you see so much other food that you want to but. Roast pork, pork hash, Char siu, rice cakes. All Yummy.

We were in search of great Char Siu Manapua and were not disappointed. We actually tried the Char Siu, Kahlua Pork and a few others. The staff was helpful and friendly and gave us delicious sweet rice cakes for the kids!

I always make a stop at Royal Kitchen when I'm on the island to pick up some of those yummy baked manapuas. My favorites are kalua pork, curry chicken, portugese sausage, and lup chong. I seriously miss that wonderful fluffy hawaiian bread that surrounds those fillings... it's the bread that makes all the difference. Please never go out of business!!... More
