Roy's Hawaii Kai, never disappoints, it's the Greatest!

The Original Roy's in Hawaii Kai is my favorite Roy's Restaurant in the world. I've been to the other's in Hawaii, including outer island and New York, but Roy's Hawaii Kai is still the best. It has the best atmosphere, the best wait staff, the best service, and the best food. It's always busy... read more

I made same day reservations for the dining room's first seating and we arrived early. We noticed that the patio outside was open seating and a bit more casual than inside. Since the sun was setting and it was a beautiful night, we elected to sit outside. It's right across from the beach---so the views were great. Yes, there is... More

For a party of 8 adults, a 9yr old & an infant, they managed to accommodate us well. We ordered the 'canoe' appetizer which had a sampling of 5-6 different items & I'd say the one everybody agreed on that was the best was the short rib. If I lived in the area & returned (& I would if I... More

The crab cakes had good ratio of meat to filling and were prepared very well. The Short Ribs melted in my mouth and were coupled with a gratin potato that was tasty. The appetizer sampler which included a pork rib (so, good!!!), scrimp on a skewer (amazing) and a spring roll. We also had the macadamia crusted fish special which... More

The food is fantastic and the drinks likewise! Doesn't matter whether fish, poultry or steak....Roys don't mess it up......get the molten chokolade lava cake for dessert...it's to die for ☺

We enjoyed a delightful prix fixe menu. Great combination of seafood and local fruits/veggies. The lemonade cocktail was a dream.

It is my understanding that this is the very first Roy's unit ever opened. The location is somewhat ( not crazy far ) distant from the city center and most of the touristic areas on the island which makes it a place to enjoy a good meal thanks to a more dedicated fusion menu. Food was really good in general,... More

Very good landscape. Ocean View is good. Even though this place is far from Wikiki, but very friendly, warmly for tourist at noon. But the night is not so good enough for visitor, because some Hawaiian also go to the Wikiki's bar at night by car or taxi. Anyway, this restaurant is good for lunch. THX.

Food cooked according to our desire and served efficiently, although presentation of food was average Chocolate soufflé had to be ordered at the time of entree order since it takes 30-40 mins to cook, however it was worth waiting

We've been to several Roy's around the country and never disappointed. Roy's Kai is the original restaurant and is still a wonderful place for a great meal experience. Although Roy's can become pricey if you are not careful, they offered a great three course prix fixe meal for $42, which my wife ordered. She had an appetizer comprised of three... More
