One hour and fifteen minutes in our appetizers arrived. One hour and forty-five minutes in our entrees arrived. There's an Outback next door. Save your money and your time and eat there.

We had two couples only in Waikiki one night so we went to the "Original Roy's". We booked through open table and we were greeted warmly. After a brief wait by the koi pond we walked upstairs. The view from the second floor is terrific. Unfortunately we were seated very close to the bar and had noise and wait staff... More

We had been to Roy's 10 years ago and really looked forward to returning. We got a reservation for early Sunday evening. The girl at the hostess desk does not know how to welcome guests. We had a beautiful window table, we ordered the Prix Frixe meal and had a most attentive ( Stacey) group of servers. It was a... More

We arrived a little early for our reservation and they were able to seat us early. Both of our meals were delicious and the servers were very friendly. None of our questions about the food were troublesome to the wait-staff. I ordered whitefish in lobster reduction sauce and it was so good, if I go back I'll be tempted to... More

We showed up 15 minutes early from our reservation and they still were able to seat us in no time. The food we expensive, but very good. I had the seafood platter and it was cooked to perfection. We never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a waiter to stop by and ask us if everything was good... More

The food is certainly very good and artistically prepared. It is heavily fish and meat centered with just a hint of vegetables. We all had fish, with two taking the set menu with paired wine. We judged the fish well prepared though the lobster reduction of the Macadamia-nut-encrusted whitefish tasted too strongly of lobster-seaweed for my taste, and my wife’s... More

On Monday 17 February, my wife and I met friends for dinner at Roy’s in Hawaii-Kai. We live on the mainland, but had eaten at Roy’s on the Big Island and at the one in Seattle. Our experience was good at those locations. The experience at the Hawaii-Kai location was disappointing at best. The 4 of us were seated about... More

Valentines weekend: Strike 1 -they couldn't find reservation despite husband having called that day to reconfirm. Strike 2- Has all the ambiance of a CPK, except much less room. Our table was maybe 10 inches from the one next to us. We had to make lame excuse to the diners next to us for moving the 4 inches we could... More

Sushi was very good. They also have fantastic cocktails. The servers were friendly but it was easy to see they were trying to "up" our bill as much as possible. Pretty sure if I asked them what they liked on the menu their first response would have been the most expensive thing.
