The family was so impressed that we went back 2x in one week. The food, service and ambiance was 1st rate. We generally stuck with the prix-fix menu's. My favorite dish was the braised short -ribs. Their molten chocolate cake is delicious! more

This is a review for 'THE' Original Roy's in Hawaii Kai, Honolulu. Been a long time favorite of mine - so much so, my husband and I got married there and hosted a reception for 150 of our close family and friends in May 2009. Roy's staff, led by Chef Ronnie Nasuti, and planning by Lisa Nakasone and Brian Nakachi... more

Roy's has been a regular stop for my wife and I on each of three annual visits to Oahu and it will continue to be. It has become a much anticipated event for us and always meets our expectations. The food is fantastic. I have composed poems about their szechuan ribs and my wife has been known to stop strangers... more

We made same day reservations for the dining room's first seating and arrived early. We noticed that the patio outside was open seating and a bit more casual than inside. Since the sun was setting and it was a beautiful night, we elected to let our reservation go and sit outside. It's right across from the beach---so the views were... more

My husband and I went to Roy's in Hawaii Kai to celebrate our anniversary. Our waiter greeted us with a "Happy Anniversary" and as we walked by the kitchen, all the chefs and kitchen staff smiled, said hello and welcome, which was neat. I had the Dragon sushi as an appetizer and it was awesome. We shared a salad which... more

We absolutely loved our dinner @ Roy's. We arrived about 10 minutes early, prior to the restaurant being open but the manager saw that we had our children with us, including a 1 year old, and she sat us immediately so we could eat. She knew that our kids were hungry and she was so kind and warm to us.... more

On Feb 7th, we celebrated my brother's birthday at Roy's Restaurant in Baltimore MD. As always, the seafood was fresh and the filet mignon remains to be my husband's favorite. Try the Hawaiian martini. My husband, who is partial to red wine definitely enjoyed it. Do not pass the desserts. The extra calories are worth the three miles I walked... more

My first trip to Hawaii and it was all magical - the air, the ocean and the food. The latter especially at Roys where I had dinner with two friends who were staying in Wakiki for a month. We all ordered different fish (actually one of us ordered ribs) and all dinners were delicious - well prepared and aesthetic also.... more

I read alot of reviews and most were pretty favorable so my wife and I decided to go. The sitting location we secuded, but there was still abit more noise than what we would prefer. The waitor, Craig, was excellent. He was very attentive and helpful with recommendations. We only wanted a 1/2 portion of our entrees since we ordered... more

Roy's is a little pricey but worth it, we went on our last night and had 2 starters, 2 mains, one dessert and a bottle of wine - food was $100 and wine $70. Everyone says the fish and it really is amazing and they are right - it is delicious. For maindish we had lamb rack and beef short... more
