I got the loco moco plate (yum) and my husband got the shoyu chicken plate. Both were very good and cheap! No line, quick service and plenty of seating and this was on a Saturday!!

The food was great. The place was super crowded and there wasn't much room to sit. Other than that, I would highly recommend trying their combination plate.

With so many old time Honolulu places gone, we're so glad this place is still here! With expended eating area no less!! You'll see all kinds of folks enjoying their plate lunches etc.

How do locals say it....ummm.... "Broke Da Mouth" !!! Truly unique from the other hawaiian dishes in the island. Wish there were more tables though :-)

It is the same as it was twenty years ago. The portions are large, the food is handmade and the prices are reasonable. They are extremely busy, but still manage to get your order out in a couple of minutes.

This place is good. I have seen some mixed reviews, but I am inclined towards the positive impression. Yes, it is "just" a dinner, so do not expect any outstanding. But you get fast & polite service and cheap & good food. What else do you want. I had the Loco Moco and it is really good. There is not... More

While on vacation it is a must place to go where the locals eat. The plate lunches can feed two people mac salad, rice, and the mahi mahi I could of ate my way thru the whole diner. Prices are great, seating is limited a tight squeeze at the table but you can take out to stop here is a... More

Good fast food. Old decor with outside only seating (or drive in). Tucked around the corner, easy walk from Waikiki. Ahi steaks a bit dry but pork and chicken were excellent over rice. Fun with the kids.

A local treat we stumbled upon. The Loco Moco (eggs over medium) was one of my best comfort food experiences ever!

We were out for a walk with 3 other people to Safeway on this Monday afternoon when we came across the Rainbow Drive-In. That’s when I remembered that it was featured on the Food Network series Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Needless to say we had to stop in for lunch. The restaurant was busy but not crowded as we were... More
