Although there are over four-hundred restaurants on the island of Oahu, "Hoku's" id perhaps one of the best on he island for providing fine dining. It is somewhat pricey; however you get what you pay for! My wife and I have celebrated several special occasions; with dinner at this establishment, and never been disappointed!

Had our 4th dinner here. Fantastic food, great service. We actually just ordered from the Appetizer menu to try all sorts of different things, and our waiter set it up like a degustation. It's on the pricey side but well worth it, and remember guys have to wear trousers !

We booked the restaurant direct as we were staying in house!!! Main request being we didn't want a booth. Hence, on arrival the host took us to a booth, when I mentioned that we asked for no booth, he walked off and left my daughter and I standing on the raised platform, which was slightly embarrassing in front of other... One of the best dining with excellence in the Islands. Expensive but with it all and the food is all you would expect.

Just average restaurant. Food was ok, not in the same class as some of the other nicer restaurants in Waikiki. Even though dress code says trousers for men, it was not strictly enforced. We saw some in shorts. Just drive or take a cab for much better choices a few miles outside.

The service was excellent at the top restaurant at the Kahala, but unfortunately the food was not good. The fish dish was over salted and mediocre. It did not match the high price

Touted as a a very high-end fusion restaurant. It is not. The decor is modern, but the place is horribly noisy, to the extent that casual conversation is almost impossible. Then, there is the food: ordinary and geared to the oriental who loves soy sauce. And the price, unjustifiably high. A very disappointing dining experience.

When we made our reservation, we requested a "special" Hawaiian drink to celebrate an anniversary & they had them ready as soon as we sat down. They were served in individual pineapples complete w/ the pretty leafy tops & flowers! The food was delicious & artfully presented. The service top-notch. Since the restaurant sits on the ocean's edge, the view... More
