We had been to Hoku's several times in the early years of its existence. We enjoyed it but were not overly impressed. As a vegan, I was particularly disappointed. We stopped coming over 10 years ago when they offered me two salads for a two course meal and said they couldn't prepare anything else. We returned recently after a friend... More

Enjoyed the Friday night buffet last night; the selections were plentiful, and Chef Jonathan at the seafood pasta grill was entertaining, engaging, and cooking up to-order pasta that was super! The many seafood dishes were plentiful, tasty and greatly varied, including sushi, sashimi and crablegs - no one went home hungry! The out door dining was superb, and the wait staff... More

I had the best experience last night. I tried the 5 course sampler dinner, and I can't find words to describe the excellence! Make sure you pair with wine. This was probably the best dinner I've had in my last 11 days in hawaii. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. I will go back every... More

This was my third time dining here and the best aspect for me is that it is very spacious unlike some restaurants where it is difficult to squeeze between the chairs. Many large windows to enjoy the view of the beach. View of the kitchen is not bad either. Food was creative and inspired. Service was excellent. Just be prepared... More

Always enjoy the service, food and ambiance of Hoku's. Inida is a delightful server. Friendly and attentive. She always makes the evening with her smile and attention to our table. The menu was limited that night but there was a great price fixed menu with pairings, if selected. We always enjoy the ahi musbi and suggest it be a shared... More

First let me say that Hoku's has a fabulous brunch and great dinner service with one of Hawaii's best chefs. Unfortunately, on New Year's Day 2015, this restaurant offerred a beyond shameful excuse for a breakfast buffet. While the Plumeria Room had a SOLD OUT $75 per person New Year's Day brunch spectacular, people who couldn't get a reservation, or... More

we just had brunch at Hoku's and for the money, variety, and quality it is still the best on Oahu! In lieu of the omelet station, they will take your omelet order and deliver it to your table.

We stayed at the Kahala and ate at Hoku's on our last night there. The atmosphere was relaxing, the service wonderful and the food outstanding. We were not at all rushed and the courses were nicely paced. We both had the 3 course fixed-price selection with the tenderloin. It was wonderful, tender and perfectly prepared. By the way, they serve... More

This is an experience for those who like to splurge and enjoy food prepared to Perfection! Wait staff was extremely knowledgeable in what types of drinks and foods were being offered. Was asked if the coffee they were serving for brunch was 100% Kona and our question was answered quickly with a nice formulation of about 60% pure. Traditional offerings... More

This is one of our favorite restaurants for special occassions. The fried whole fish is excellent- crispy, juicy and fresh. Desserts are well worth the calories. We ordered the Chef's Tasting Menu- each dish was simply delightful. The stunning ocean views and very attentive wait staff made our dinner memorable.
