Very friendly atmosphere and OK food

We had just arrived from the mainland and were staying close by. Very friendly and responsive staff in this simple but very popular (particularly with locals) cafe. They do not serve wine and beer but there is a place literally next door that does. The cafe provides openers and glasses. The food... read more

The Olive Tree at the corner of Pahoa and Kilauea and the edge of Kahala Mall prides itself on slow food. It has a limited Greek menu, but deliciousness trumps limited choices. You are welcome to bring your own beer or wine, but pay a very slight charge for glasses. If you forgot the libations, the Olive Tree has its... More

We make sure we eat here every time we visit Waikiki.... Wow fresh delicious food the best meal we have had ever on numerous trips to Honolulu. Order ahead to go if you want to avoid the wait/line then can still choose to eat there. Well worth the drive from Waikiki. Best chicken souvlaki, tabouli salad and their dressing is... More

Olive Tree Cafe is located next to McDonalds Kahala Mall. They will be celebrating their 20th year in business this December 2014. Parking is limited (better to park at the mall and walk over) and there is usually a line of customers. But service is fast, you order and pick up food yourself, and you can BYOB. A wine shop... I live 35 miles away, and eat here at least once a month. It is simply the best food at the best price in Honolulu. The chicken souvlaki is delicious, especially when paired with hummus and an extra greek salad -- I just wish they would bottle their dressing! Don't miss the fresh tomatoes if they have them. If you... More

Olive Tree Cafe delivers a quality product at higher than mainland prices. It has a limited menu so what they do, they do well. Nothing is particularly creative or unusual here but it is always consistent and tasty. You are also treated with respect and the owner is on site, all the time. Having said that, its as if Honolulu... More

Parking is limited, table space s cramped, street traffic is noisy--but don't let that keep you away from the tasty Greek food at the Olive Tree Café. Order at the counter and listen for your name to be called. It's a small menu at this family owned business where everything is very fresh and every item tastes great. Olive Tree... More

We went for dinner at a Greek Place, The Olive Tree. It is beside the Kahala Mall. We took the 23 bus directly, there. We got there a few minutes before their 5 PM opening time. There were several people waiting for the the doors to open. We picked out our table on the lanai & sat down to wait. By... More

This is by far our favorite Greek restaurant on Oahu. We always order the falafels, though everything is good. Having the Oliver wine store next door is a plus. You buy your wine and take it to Olive Tree Cafe. It's excellent because the meal is great with a bottle of wine. Now that it's a popular place it isn't... More

Not sure what the fuss is about! The hummus was good, but the pita served with it was dry and over cooked like a cracker. It was pretty busy, so the service was slow but when the food came it was nothing special. The usual kebab with a slap of salad.
