We've eaten at many top restaurants around the US and the world that serve tasting menus (Per Se, French Laundry, 11 Madison Park.....) and Chef Mavro's is right up there with them. Appropriate size portions for a tasting menu. The most flexibility I've ever experienced as far as mixing, substituting. I have never had wine pairings that were so perfectly... More

There is only a tasting menu here and it is a good one. Food was delicious and the wine parings were spot on. Servers were friendly and knowledgable. The best goat cheese with organic white honey from the islands…never tasted anything so amazing. Would go back.

Easily one of the best - if not the best - restaurants that I have ever eaten at. Coming from Tokyo, I am used to making my rounds amongst top restaurants, but Chef Mavro really impressed me. Our 14-course dinner with wine pairings was exceptional, and I am still raving about it to everyone I meet today. I have to... More

As an Australian we are spoilt in terms of restaurants and produce. I had looked at Chef Mavro and thought the menu looked interesting especially as there were many options and choices despite it being a choice of 4 courses or 6 courses We opted for the 6 courses mixing vegetarian option with the main stream menu. We placed our... More

This was our second visit within about a month, and the food was excellent once again even though the menu changed some. The staff was friendly and welcomed us back as if we were old friends. Sitll two Prix Fixe choices with excellent wine pairing. They also let you mix and match between the two prix fixe choices. Still very... More

This meal was outstanding. Whenever we go out to eat, not too often, we always go to Chef Mavro's restaurant and have the menu, I go for the vegan and my husband chooses the animal proteins. For us it is a night in a Paris restaurant. The wine pairings were excellent for my husband and I had the badoit sparkling... More

Logistics: parking is free. There is not a bar so don't plan on going early for drinks. Setting: intimate. Very quiet restaurant and seems to be set up for couples or small groups. Seems the perfect place for a romantic evening. Service: I don't think I have ever had such incredible service. They remember you name the staff is knowledgeable... More

I went to this restaurant on a Wednesday night with a fairly large group of friends. Chef Mavro was recommended to us by a local friend, who was also in the party. We chose the Chef's menu with wine pairing, which we found overall excellent. Service was very slow at the beginning (after more than one hour we were served... More

I had the degustation at Chef Mavro tonight. Arriving at 6.30 I was greeted by name as I walked in, and provided with a personalised menu of 14 courses, most with matched wines. The amuse bouche was a chilled carrot soup with Crecy orange topped with a coconut foam. The orange gave a touch of sweetness to what otherwise might... More
