Certainly the antithesis of the fast food dining experience. The restaurant is off the beaten path of Waikiki but easy to find with adequate parking. When you arrive the staff acts as if they are expecting you and your leisurely paced fine dining experience begins. Menu is a 4 or 6 course prix fixe with or without wine pairings. The... More

I travel the world, seeking out the best dining experiences, and this was one of them. The very accessible, but complex menu, was well balanced and thought out, no repetition of flavors or key ingredients, and extremely flavorful and fresh. This is on par with the Michelin *** restaurants in Europe.

We went to Honolulu for Christmas/ New Years celebrations. Decided to go to some of the "best" restaurants (and went, check our other reviews). This one was THE best. Decided to have a full course menu with wine pairing. Superb, surprise from every single dish/wine. The vegetables in the first course were amazing (and we are not a kind of... More

My husband and I travel frequently, and make a point of researching and trying at least one gourmet restaurant at every possible destination. Chef Mavro rewarded our efforts. We both ordered the tasting menu, but asked for substitutions for both allergies and preferences. The chef’s willingness to accommodate our needs included our request to have only one wine pairing for... More

Have been going to this restaurant for over a decade and the menu is always a surprise and delight. Fantastic quality of ingredients and creative blending of flavors and texture. Service is very professional and warm. Meal is well paced and noise level is ok.

The atmosphere is classic, subdued and very elegant with booth seating with privacy for couples if desired. Service is unobtrusive and very professional, not overdone, and very timely. Each course comes at just the right intervals allowing the diner to enjoy the flavors and discover the wine parings. The plating is beautiful, the flavors extraordinary. Every bite is something to... With limited time and so many wonderful restaurants in Honolulu I was so disappointed in spending one of my nights eating at Chef Marvo's. Maybe this used to be a good eating experience, but on this trip we had the 4 course tasting menu and each course was bland and boring - and one overcooked. There was not one "ooh"... More

Restaurant deco and ambiance was average. Food presentation was OK but the cuisine was very Middle-Eastern taste. Garnishing was very random for example, having a piece of Deep fried Taro with cumin flavor right next to Lobster ! $138/pax plus tax for a 6 course dinner. Not that value for money !

What a surprise, a hidden gem. This restaurant was recommended by the concierge in our hotel and it didn't disappoint. It is pricey but well worth the visit. The food is divine and the service is extraordinary. Thank you Chef Mavro for a great evening.
