This was a last minute decision to eat here. Big mistake. Our server was very rude. He cleared plates without asking if we were finished. We felt extremely rushed the entire time. Very expensive and not very good. Go down the street. Many other great restaurants with good good and reasonable prices. Don't eat here!! I would give it a... More

I had a hard time finding good food that didn't hurt my stomach in Hawaii. This was one of the few that I really liked. It's a little pricey but worth it to get full and get what you pay for. The even have a happy hour. I ordered a "michelada" type drink that they made specially for me. It... More

The drinks are weak and expensive! $21 for a 22 ounce margarita, which you couldn't even taste the tequila in. Our waitress was friendly, but apologetic for the silly rules that the restaurant had, for example, you have to pay for chips and salsa and you can't modify your order. We ordered the chicken tacos and we wanted them to... More

Being from Texas, we should have known better than to try Mexican Food in Hawaii. But, being that we were hungry for some, we thought maybe it was worth a try. Wrong. They served about 10 tostada chips and salsa. We asked for more and were told we would be charged for another basket! What Mexican restaurant charges for chips... More

A street back from the beach you'll find on the corner a pretty Mexican restaurant. Excellent service and food. Margaritas were enjoyed as well as Coronaritas which is a 250ml bottle cradled into a margarita and the beer slowly releases into it. A fun way to drink. Very friendly staff. We had an enjoyable night out

Our children begged us to go back for Mexican again for our 2nd meal in 3 nights. We didn't fight them on it, as we had a very good meal last visit. Our waiter Fillipe from Brazil was great with us and our kids. He recommended two dishes for us, which we ordered and glad we did. The kids again... More

We love mexican food and La Cucaracha was recommended to me and a must go! Its a cute little mexican restaurant with lots of mexican decor. Our server took our order straight away and the food came out super quick. It was fresh and delicious. The complimentary corn chips and salsa were so so delicious! We had to ask for... More

We had high hopes for La Cucaracha. It was easy to find and not far from the beach. The atmosphere was good and we enjoyed the open air dining, but that is where the positive part of our experience stopped. Service was slow. Even allowing for "island time" the service was SLOW! Everything was extra. Extra cost for refills on... More

Looking for a Mexican restaurant and stumbled over this place. Basic decor, followed by basic service and basic food. When they say an Avocado Salad they mean just an avocado and an iceberg lettuce! The other choices were just adequate. At least the Bohemia beer was good.
