It's an amazing experience... Excellent food, great service, very good looking and it was clean. You absolutely need to reserve because it's a popular restaurant. It's not too expensive when you see all the food in your plate. Take the fried rice, it's not include but you got to taste !

Chef cooks the food in front of you. Fresh seafood. Juicy tender steaks and fast and friendly service

We dined here with 4 adults & 2 children. Originally I asked for a reservation at 5.30, but they told me they were full at that time, so could only do 5pm which we booked. When we arrived the place was empty at both 5 & 5.30, so couldn't quite work that out. Having said that, our table waiter Anthony... More

We had a very good meal at Tanaka. The food was exceptionally tasty and cooked to your expect liking. We were asked how we wanted our meat cooked and how we wanted our fish cooked. Both were delivered exactly as we asked. Our Teppenyaki chef was not the most engaging compared to what we could see around us, however, based... More

We turned up without booking for the sunset meal. As there were two of us we were at a table with other people. Everyone was very nice and joined in with the experience although we spoke four different languages between us. The sunset meal Teppanyaki was $21.95 and worth every dollar. The chef was expert and and included everyone in... More

Food is good, especially Waygu. It is traditional Japanese Teppanyaki. Chef are all Japanese. Each table could serve 8 people. So they will begin the meal after 8 people get together. Two of us booked and one of them went to the restaurant first. The reception didn't allow to go inside until both two of us arrived.

I have been eating at this restaurant for almost 40 years and it never fails to be entertaining , fun, and delicious! It moved down one floor ( at the Waikiki shopping plaza ) a couple of years ago and is fully updated. Lovely decor and fun atmosphere and the food is always good! Ate there twice on our trip... Saved our visit for our last evening in Waikiki. So glad that we did. We were a family of 6 and felt that the value we received for the quality and quantity of the food was amazing. We had the chicken and steak teriyaki meals with calamari appetizers. It was smiles all around. The highlight was our chef and his... More
