Worst service I have ever received Been to numerous Japanese steak houses all over world and never seen such a poorly managed place. The soup came right before dessert, we ordered fried rice extra which only came when we had all finished our meal and we had to request the steamed rice as that also didn't arrive with dinner. I... We always welcome constructive criticism but this review is mean spirited. In Japan, soup is always served towards the end of the meal. The server explained this and inquired with the guests if they preferred to have their soup traditionally or at the beginning. Some guests preferred the beginning, some preferred towards the end, and the rest were indecisive, which... More

We chose this restaurant over several other Japanese steakhouses because of their restaurant awards. Unlike some other diners experiences, we found the drinks to be very good, as was the service. My wife and I decided to share and chose a chicken teriyaki and the recommended sirloin beef. As is traditional, the dishes were cooked in front of us and... More

The service was extremely poor. Our soup never arrived, which is supposed to come before the entree. They never asked what kind of rice we wanted. And some fried rice that people did happen to order was made after the entree was served. We were rushed through the meal and were treated rudely when we complained.

The food was okay, the drink from the bar was very weak and watery. The service was extremely slow. The atmosphere is nice.

I have visited the restaurant with the large group of 50 clients for the dinner. The clients appreciate this evening and dinner. What disturbed me - the lady with camera making the photos of the guests - this is not too emphatic - and than sale of this photos for 15 USD. There was also a little bit rush in... More

We were a large group, 13 with a mix of kids, teens and adults. Thought it would be fun to see some food theatrics. We had the combination meals and each person picked their own protein (shrimp, chicken, steak etc). Most had the sirloin and chicken, but the fillet, a bit more expensive, was the best. What disappointed was the... More

Let me start by saying that the food was ok, nothing outstanding but good average Tepanyaki. Also, the chef that we had on our table was entertaining, fun and pretty skilled with his blades.....so nothing bad to say about him!! But the service in general was appalling! I actually took pictures of us serving our own drinks because it became... More

This is my third time here and will return each time I'm in Waikiki. We had our Christmas dinner here and it didn't disappoint. The food is of very good quality and the show is not overbearing like at some other teppan grill restaurants. We were the only english speakers at the table(all Japanese visitors) but they were friendly as... More

There is little doubt that this establishment has a very strong focus of tourist trade, especially Japanese tourists. The fact that as soon as we entered the restaurant we were asked if we have our vouchers seems to attest to that. In terms of food, it is of good quality. In terms of value for money, it is not so... Loved this place as the atmosphere and quality of the food is outstanding. Although it is a little expensive it is well worth the extra cost for the fantastic food that it not deep fried and the chief who puts on a great displace as he cooks up your meal
