Yum...

Very casual place with only a couple of people working in the front. The guy was very directive and the idea that you have to stand outside until a table is ready could be a bit off-putting. We were here for lunch during our trip to Oahu. And were fortunate to get a parking lot right outside the place. We ordered Laulau, kahlua pork with a few other dishes. The kahlua pork tasted more healthy compared to those we tried at other eateries. A little bit salty but great. Overall a good dining experience. The food was... More

We were looking for good local Hawaiian fare and were not disappointed. We tried the combination plate of laulau and kalua pig, both dishes were very good. The restaurant has limited seating for 25-30, overflow must wait outside in front of the restaurant. There were a handful of people waiting outside after we finished our lunch. The family owned restaurant... More

I ordered food to go since we were heading to the airport. It was difficult to find parking. They were out of Laulaus. The guy at the cashier was not friendly. I guess they have too may good reviews that he could care less. I was not familiar with the menu. I ordered a Salmon Lomi and I realized after... More

If you want a truly local style eating experience then this is the place to go.Don't be put off by the street frontage because even though it's not a flash place, it's authentic and very cheap. You can't book a table so arrive early and be patient if you have to queue because it's worth it. Bus number 13 from... More

For real Hawaiian food. ono's is the best. It is small and a bit pricey but I love it. They been here for over 30 yrs that I've been alive so that must mean they know what they are doing. Great food. I always get the Laulau, Kalua pork and squid luau.

A tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant serving up some delicious authentic hawaiian food. Great lau lau, chicken long rice, lomi lomi salmon, and my favorite - the pipikaula. You should definitely opt for poi instead of rice to make the meal complete. For those who are not big poi fans, try mixing the poi with the lomi lomi salmon, or I like... More

After landing in Honolulu on 14/5/2015 and checking in our first activity was a walk up from Waikiki to Kapahulu Ave to have a late lunch at Ono. We had read that lunchtime can be frantic, but too late and you risk missing out on signature dishes, so our arrival around 2pm was perfectly timed. Only a couple of tables... More

I had never eaten any of that food on the menu so I was nervous but I really really enjoyed the Laulau! Great food! I'd definitely come again!
