Me and my family wanted to try some of Ono's famous Hawaiian food. We got there kinda late but asked if it was ok for us to order some food being that it was close to closing. The guy at the counter told us to come on in. We all sat and menus were on the table, and then this... More

This place looks like a hole in the wall. When I arrived, there were bags of taro on the floor. Right then, I knew I'd come to the right place. I can't remember exactly what I ordered, but it was a combination of different dishes and they all tasted amazing. Additionally, this place was close to Waikiki where we were... More

This is where we went after climbing to the top of Diamond Crater, so we were ready for some good hearty food, and we were not disappointed! We had the combo deal, and it was more than enough for two people. It was our first time eating real Hawaiian, and the staff explainedeach dish for us. We even got a... More

After reading about Ono Hawaiian Foods, we decided to try it since we had not had authentic Hawaiian food since arriving. I loved my lau lay, best I've ever had, though haven't had it many places so not an expert. It was a bit salty and fatty, but I hear that's the way they like food in Hawaii in general.... More

After seeing this featured on Anthony Bourdain's show we knew we wanted to check it out as he has a tendency to find delicious and unassuming restaurants. When we walked in our server helped us figure out exactly what to order and then said "I'll teach you to eat." When she brought our food over she went through step by... More

Because of my first taste with authentic Hawaiian food, it is now one of my favorite dishes! I wish we have a similar resto here in the Philippines.

Great authentic Hawaiian food. Reasonably priced. Just a dive but clean, fast, and great food. I'm easy-just Kalua Pig and rice for me every time. Great for take out. I get take out and bring it to the beach for a picnic. I've even stopped on the way to the airport and bring it on board to eat as a... More

Very close to the action of Waikiki, ONO Hawaiian foods is excellent. Their boneless beef ribs were amazing - so tasty and tender. I really enjoyed the lau lau, lomi lomi, and of course that beef and kalua pork. In fact, I feel it edged out Helena's Hawaiian food in terms of flavor. Try it and see.

Use to come here when I was in college and I am so glad it hasn't changed any. Especially the food, this is a place I would recommend to people that wish to experience real Hawaiian food. Bring cash cause they don't take credit cards. The only down side to the place is finding parking. But trust me the food... More
