A great local place and real Hawaiian food. The owner and his wife were GREAT explaining the food and teaching us how to eat it. They were so nice because we were "first timers".... The portions are huge our family of 4 split 2 dinners and wee barely able to finish it. Bring cash they do do accept... read more

I came looking for a taste of Hawaiian food and found Ono's. I wanted to try a little of everything and found the combo plate. It has both the Kahlua Pig and the LauLau along with all the normal sides. I was not disappointed. The combo plate is intended for two so I took some home, but mainly bc it... More

Seems to be favored by locals, which is usually a good sign. Small place. Cash only. Walked here from Waikiki because my wife wanted some authentic lau lau. The plate is a lot for one person, and the two of us barely finished it. My wife said it was the best lau lau she had ever had. The poi was... More

great local place and real Hawaiian food. none of that pseudo fusion you may find on the main street. You have to try it when you are visiting Waikiki. We were staying at the end of Waikiki Beach closer to the zoo so it took us about 15 mins to walk there. it was good to walk and get out... More

We drove by this restaurant numerous times and never noticed it and finally had to just Google the address, park the car, and walk to find it. It's a tiny hole in the wall for sure, but very friendly with delicious food. We loved our waitress! She was busy, but took the time to explain some things on the menu.... More

The food is fantastic! The owners sat us down, then brought out many different foods to try! They were so friendly and willing to explain all of their food and the traditional way to eat it. The prices are a great value. Cash only, there is a Bank of Hawaii across the street. It's a short cab ride from the... More

it's a small hole in the wall Hawaiian restaurant and the food was great, make sure to try the combination if you are new to Hawaiian food. it's a bit far if you are walking from Waikiki, there's a bus you can take to get you there

Not being an islander, we are always trying native places out. We found this jewel and loved it! Had their 8 oz steak and Shrimp. Delicious, tender and a good price. We were in foodie heaven.

We were recommended by the hotel clerk to visit that place if we wanted real Hawaiian food and he was right. The place is small but it wasn't that busy. We order a meal package that includes chicken rice some dry meat and a coconut pudding as dessert. The food was good and was really a new food experience for... More

I've been going to Ono's since I was a kid, and it hasn't changed much. Focused on Hawaiian food, they do a terrific job! It can be kind of pricey, but the portions are big, too. Do your belly a favor and share the Combo Plate - unless you are a competitive eater, you cannot do this on your own.... More
