Last day on the island i had Googled Hawaiian Foods and Ono was on the leader board. With 4.5 stars i said what do we have to lose. We got there right at 11:00 and were greeted by the owner he was so full of joy and happiness. After looking at the menu and not knowing what the heck to... More

A fabulous little local restaurant. Don't worry about what to order. The lady that works here will do it all for you AND teach you how to eat everything. She was friendly and super efficient. It was a full house but she was able to keep everyone happy and enjoy their experience there. I think everyone who goes to Honolulu... More

This is Hawaiian food at its best. Place is tiny. Owners were so helpful in making sure we wanted what we ordered and then explained how the locals eat the food and why certain foods are used. No hotdogs or hamburgers here - just really good Hawaiian food.

In Waikiki we wanted to try something more classically Hawaiian and were told about Ono's. Its a small little hole in the wall restaurant with big flavors and big value. Like many other newbies, we shared the Combination Plate with kalua pig and laulau, pipikaula, lomi salmon, haupia, rice, and poi . One of the staff recognized our look of... More

We were introduced to Ono's Hawaiian by some friends and this is authentic Hawaiian food! You have to order the pork lau lau and Kailua pork! We went for lunch and the portions are big enough to share. The place is small but we were lucky to get a table right away. If you don't like sides like lomi lomi... More

This place is very popular with the locals. Lines form outside and patrons are let it when there is a table available. Lots of take-out food. Service was very quick and food was quite good. It looks a bit run-down both outside and inside, but think it had an "A" for health dept. inspection. Restrooms were out of service.

Good hawaiian cuisine. The owners are very friendly, and help you with how to eat all of the side dishes. We had 4 people and split 2 dinners and had plenty of food.

The restaurant is a tiny little place amidst all of these fast food chain restaurants, so it can be easy to miss it. It's a family owned business that seems to always be busy. Thankfully, we went around 5pm and were lucky enough to get a table (no reservations, it's a first come, first serve basis). There is a bench... More

So I travel to Oahu a lot and when I do I make it a point to go to Onto Hawaiian Food. No, I HAVE to go there. I love their food. It is authentic Hawaiian food. My favorites are the chicken long rice, kalua pork, chicken luau and their lau lau which is as big as your head! Now... More

Don't judge a book by its cover. This place is not "attractive" in looks, but its food and service are "KILLER." You have to wait outside if the place is full, but do wait, it will be worth your time. Great authentic hawaiian food and a welcoming atmosphere. If I ever am back in town, I will eat here at...
