We eat there every time we go to Hawaii. It never changes, only gets a little more run down every time we go. The food is good and the prices are a little cheaper than Benihanas.
2 adult and 2 kids. Two got sushi and two got the the chef to prepare food in front of us. Sushi. The worst sushi I had in a Japanese restaurent. When you tried to pick it up it readily went apart. The taste was below average. Newer order sushi in here. I got the scallop and the kobe meat.... More
I like this place (been there multiple times over the years) but can't put my finger on exactly why. It's like a blue collar Benihana's (which is right next door): the decor is more dated, the waitresses are older, and the chefs are less entertaining. You might think it is a touristic place, but actually there are quite a lot of locals that live this restaurant. I love the place for its entertaining side as well as its amazing food and service. You won't sit in this place for hours waiting to be served, you can go with children or on a romantic date. The... More
Once I walked in the restaurant I thought it would be crap. It ended up kind of cool. They cooked in front of me and my family. They served high priced food but at least they gave us free food for a small side.
Been to Kobe a few times this month because of the various deals they have been offering. The service is best if you can arrive early for the early bird special (you will get reduced pricing on food and drinks). The combo meals are best and th chefs cook in front of you. Expect a "show" during the cooking process.... More
Great restaurant, GROUPON discount a plus. Family from the mainland enjoyed it. A bit pricey for 6 people but food was very good.
First off, this location is not part of the KOBE Japanese steak houses on the mainland. The restaurant was very dirty. Carpet was torn. Air vents were covered in dust. The food was not very good. Soup did not have any flavor at all. You also have to pay a $4.00 upcharge to get fried rice instead of plain rice.... More
Usually avoid chains but mom loves the cook in front of you premise. Our chef was fun and had a good sense of humour. Our drinks and plates were brought promptly, and the food was actually quite good.
