Food was delicious, the meat was extremely good quality and fresh! The atmosphere could use improvement but the food was great!

Perhaps not the best place for ambiance however a great place to enjoy an assortment of very good quality beef. The A4 Japanese Wagyu was memorable (only two orders per day) however the skirt steak was just as fantastic. The side kimchee/radish was one of the best I've tasted. Note that the portions are small and pricey but worth it.

Really delicious meats! A little pricey but you pay for what you get and you get really good stuff here!! It is not for the vegetarian.

All I can say is this was some incredible Korean/Japanese BBQ. For those that don't know, lets be very clear, that this is a "cook it yourself" restaurant. That being said, I consider myself a good home cook, which has little to no merit here. The reality is, that all of the delectable meats and sweet seafood that we enjoyed... More

At the moment this wonderful Japanese BBQ restaurant is undergoing a major renovation of their downstairs area and entry. It should be finished within the month, but PLEASE don't let this put you off! The upstairs area is still fully functional and the food is amazing. There is a slight twist of Korean BBQ to the menu with the most... More

Returned tonight with the proprietor and chief of Da Kitchen for a night of true piece of Japan wagyu steak, and other prime cuts carefully marinated in Chief Kimura's sauces. Fantastic cuisine, great wine and service. Never disappointed even on my return with another chief in tow. A must if you wish to experience the best in Hawaii but be... More

I was invited by friends to this excellent little yakiniku restaurant one block landside of the main drag in Waikiki. It is rather unassuming and easy to walk by, but the exterior masks quite a nice experience, especially for those who enjoy Japanese-style grilling meat at your table. The service here is perfect--not obtrusive, extremely helpful, and adds to the... More

Platinum menu was outstanding, got lucky and they were out of Australian wagyu so we got Japanese instead. Our sever was great, helped us understand the difference between the types of shochu, excellent choices.

We went here directly from the airport. We were jet lagged from flying in from the East Coast, and this meal woke us up! We ordered 2 Platinum Tasting Menus and shared it among the 3 of us. Everything was delicious. The salad was perfectly dressed. The various types of meat just melt in your melt. The servers come around... More

So if you have had Korean BBQ, this is the Japanese version. After living in Japan for a while, and coming back to a major US metropolis, I have not had problems finding Korean BBQ restaurants but have had hit or miss luck with Japanese Yakiniku restaurants. Luckily we stumbled upon this place. The people and food there were quite... More
