Many times to Honolulu but first time here and thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end-- wished had come sooner. Service good although a little mis-step with soup. Seafood dumplings and escargot appetizers, chateaubriand perfectly cooked. Old school table preparation of lobster bisque soup. How wonderful! Next to beach with view of fireworks in celebration of King Kamehameha Day. Jeff Peterson,... More

This spot wouldn't be for everyone. It's very old school French, expensive, but still well worth it. The food was delicious, service impeccable and the wine list very good. All this comes at a price so reserve for special occasions. The view and setting is delightful so try and arrive prior to sunset.

Because of the great location with beautiful sunset view of Pacific ocean, this restaurant tends to be crowded. Caesar salad and lobster bisque served tableside was great. Entrees not so great. Service was extremely slow. Wine price was very good. I would still come in special occasions but avoid weekends.

Let me preface this review with the statement that no, I am not a totally negative person, though you might think so from this post (check out my other overwhelmingly positive reviews on this site!). This was just not a good experience for us. Everyone has them sometimes and this seems to have been ours so take it with a... More

This was the first stop of our 4-week vacation and I could not be more pleased with the selection. Reservations were made months in advance and we were rewarded with dare I say the best table in the house affording us an excellent picture perfect view of the sunset, the city lights and all. We had the six course tasting... More

Excellent service, with excellent food great views. A very special place for a special night. Not a typical tourist haunt, but a classy restaurant where guests are treated like royalty. When you want something extraordinary in a dining experience in Honolulu, this is the place. Chef is world class.

One of the best restos i have ever eaten at. I have never been disappointed and neither will you. Impeccable service, presentation, and food. Michel's is top of the line. Their menu is a bit limited but everything is incredible and of the highest quality. this is a very expensive restaurant and dinner could easily be well over $200 for... More

We visited Michel's on the first full night of our Honeymoon. Michel's certainly set the bar for the other restaurants we'd be dining at during out trip. The ambiance and the view is stunning. Make sure to ask for an oceanside table and try to make reservations for approximately 30 minutes before Sunday for the best experience. Also, if its... More
