We’ve had wonderful service at Michel’s, just not from him! The wait staff is very attentive and it seems the longer they’ve been there the better the service...unfortunately...you never know when the waiter you like will be there since they don’t stick to any schedule because Mr. Shaw picks on a whim who will work that evening. ..I guess we’ll... more

If you know what's good for you, you won't eat here. We went the other night and it was seriously the worst food I have ever had. The fish was old and disgusting. My husband & I received a gift certificate to Michel's as a wedding gift and after 5 months, we finally used it. We were very excited since we had heard such good things about the restaurant. My second favorite place to go when I don't care how much money I am spending. I recommend the Lobster Bisque as a starter with any main entree, and chocolate souffle for dessert (which must be ordered in advance). more

The view is amazing and when we arrived we thought we would have a lovely evening. The food was horrible though and was ridiculously expensive. It was the most expensive meal we had in Hawaii, probably 100% more, and I felt leaving sick from the food and wishing I had gone elsewhere. more

Love the atmosphere. Service was excellent despite that our head waiter got too busy with a big party next to us. They ordered a cherry jubilee and he didn't even explain to them what he was doing as opposed to the other server we saw earlier who was describing what she was making. I rate Michel just below Alan Wong's... more
