Enjoyed a wonderful evening at Michel's in Honolulu with a spectacular view of the sunset and later fireworks. This is one of Honolulu's older quality restaurants. Our experience was excellent. A place cannot stay successful as long at Michel's if the food and service are not consistently outstanding. We has excellent service and an outstanding meal. I highly recomend Michel's... More

My husband and I had a lovely meal our last night in Oahu. The setting was very romantic and the Ahi tuna melted in your mouth. The service was attentive as well. This was our first trip but not our last - we will go back to Michel's on our next trip.

We went to Honolulu for Christmas/ New Years celebrations. Decided to go to some of the "best" restaurants (and went, check our other reviews). This one was a complete deception. We went to christmas dinner (24th). The place is beautiful, but service, food and everything else BELOW average. We were attracted to this restaurant by other trip advisors review (done... More

The restaurant has an amazing view. We went about 6:00pm to watch the sunset. Spectacular. The food was good, I don't know if it met my expectations, but it was the last night of our trip and we had the most wonderful waitress/server. Would go again for sure.

I have dined at Michel's many times over the last 25 years. It was well known for it's ambiance, intimate dining, attentive service and view and was my "go to restaurant" on the island, All that is left is the view. Gone is the ambiance and service. We dined there this evening where a boisterous party of 8 was in... More

The food and staff were great! Our server was adorable! Although, we sat next to a family with three children roughly ages 6-12. The adults let the kids get up out of their seats and run around, despite the cooking table-side with flames. Not a restaurant to bring young kids who aren't used to sitting at a table for a... My wife and I visit this restaurant at least a couple of times a year. We always call ahead by at least a week, particularly at high season and holidays. Ask for a table on the Oceanside of the restaurant and make reservations for around sunset. You won't be disappointed! Service is great. Ambiance is great (unless you get seated... More

This is the 2nd time we have visited this restaurant, and neither time have we been disappointed. The setting is impressive-right on a small stretch of beach which is quiet and offers fantastic sunset views. The staff are very knowledgeable about the menu, and their attention was just right without being intrusive. The menu offers a variety of options that would... More

Reserved a table 4 months in advanced and asked for window seating......boy did they deliver. We were right next to the beach with open air dining. We had an outstanding view of the sunset over the pacific. Watching folks play on the beach and outriggers coming in was relaxing. The food was great. I wish I would've splurged a bit... More

Okay, I'm dating myself. Robin Leach waxed poetic about this restaurant way back in the '80's and apparently it's been around since the '60's. We actually were guests of some friends we were visiting that have lived in Honolulu for 40 years. It's their favorite romantic restaurant for good reason. The setting is classic Hawaii. The open dining room is... More
