This is one of the last classic restaurants in Hawaii where everything from the salmon appetizer, Caesar Salad, desserts, etc, are prepared at your table. You are literally almost sitting on the beach. I would recommend going around 6 so you enjoy the sunset, although it is a bit warn with the sun at you until then. The spinach salad... More

Our hotel Concierge had recommended Michel's as one of the best places on island, he was right. We had a great table with an ocean view. The food is 5 Star, and the atmosphere and views are beautiful. This is a very top-notch place, so you'll pay accordingly, but it's not a stuffy snobby place. Everyone is having fun, and... More

Had a recommendation from the owner of the hat shop at the Royal Hawaiin Hotel. We were greeted well and shown to a very nice beach front table. Lovely setting with sea view. A waiter Joel came to look after us and after serving cocktails was attentive throughout. The food and was excellent and the service superb. All in all... More

Michelle's at the Colony Surf is advertised as the most romantic restaurant on the island. It is that and so much more. Located on the sands of Waikiki it has two dinner seatings. Early and late. Early gets the spectacular sunsets (look closely a cloudless day will end with a green flash) views, so be sure to ask for a... More

Many times to Honolulu but first time here and thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end-- wished had come sooner. Service good although a little mis-step with soup. Seafood dumplings and escargot appetizers, chateaubriand perfectly cooked. Old school table preparation of lobster bisque soup. How wonderful! Next to beach with view of fireworks in celebration of King Kamehameha Day. Jeff Peterson,... More

This spot wouldn't be for everyone. It's very old school French, expensive, but still well worth it. The food was delicious, service impeccable and the wine list very good. All this comes at a price so reserve for special occasions. The view and setting is delightful so try and arrive prior to sunset.
