I don't say that lightly- this was the best meal of my life. What more can I say! It was our 15th Anniversary and they had a special menu for us signed by everyone. When they brought out dessert it had a candle in it and beautifully written in chocolate was "Happy Anniversary". If I could I would fly to... more

This was our big night out in Hawaii, and we very much enjoyed it. My husband got steak and I got chicken, and both were wonderful. We had the chocolate sampler and - oh my gosh - you must get that! It was amazing. It was pouring down rain outside, but the restaurant was gorgeous and had wonderful ambiance. Well... more

Great food and wonderful service. Entrees run about $30, so it is not as pricey as you might think. We were there on a Monday night at 6:30. It was busy, and the space is small, but the staff were wonderfully attentive. It deserves it's reputation as one of the top restaurants in the country. more

A lot of places claim to do fusion, but few incorporate authentic hawaiian. The location is may throw you off, but don't fear - Alan Wong's is amazing - both service and food. My favorite is still the Poki-pines. I'd go to Chef Mavro's just once to say I'd been, but Alan Wong's is a must repeat. It's on the... more

The menu can sometimes be a challenge for the steak and potato people, but just ask the waiters for help and sit back and be pleasantly surprised with the creative dishes. We recently had the 5 course tasting menu, and while not everyone loved each dish it was on whole a wonderful experience. The execution is superb. more

This place would have been hard to find on our own, but our taxi driver knew right where it was. We went there for my birthday dinner on March 22nd, and they made me a special menu and all the chefs and wait staff signed it. The meals are unique and delicious - try the short ribs if they are... more

My wife and I had a 8pm reservation and when we arrived the place was PACKED. It is very noisy - so much so, that we had trouble hearing our waiter recite the specials or the server's explain the dishes as they were delivered. Service was friendly if inconsistent. My wife had the seafood cakes and the shortribs. The seafood... more

I'm very familiar with the awards this restaurant has won, and the praise Alan has received in the media internationally. I had to see if this place lived up to the hype. Well after dinner, I wanted to kick myself for not having a meal here sooner!!! Before I get into the food, I have to mention the service: the... more

I have to say it was not as good as the last tme I ate here. I don't know if my expectaions were too high. I had the 7 course prix fixe with the wine pairing. The food and service were very good, but there was not one of the 5 wines that had any appeal at all to me.... more
