What a great restaurant! We did their 5 course "Tasting of the Classics" menu" with wine. The entrées were nicely balanced and seemed to surpass each other, a truly delightful dinner. Note, the food and wine portions were very close to "full-sized" so eat a light lunch. We'll definitely be back.

Second time here about 7 years apart. Bring your wallet as you probably would expect. It will be a memorable experience and the food will be creative, well-prepared, and of the highest quality ingredients. I am somewhat puzzled by the slow service comments, this is an experience not a food trough and one should expect a slower paced food delivery... More

I dined there as part of a group of six that wanted a nice Honolulu restaurant that wasn't part of the "touristy" Waikiki scene. Large, diverse menu with excellent regional touches, though the wine list seemed to be quite expensive, even for a nice restaurant (there were very few choices by the glass under $20). As noted by others, the... More

Went for my wife's birthday recently and was surprised to wait 20 minutes past our reservation to be seated. Then they were going to seat us near shoulder to shoulder with other couples. We asked to be seated at a table and the hostess, who was very nice, did help us with that. We were surprised at the layout, not... More

Wonderful meal. The service was impeccable. The timing between courses never felt rushed and allowed time to savor. We had the 125$ tasting menu with wine selections. It was an amazing experience. The atmosphere was casual and not stuffy. We are adult professionals who enjoy the quality of a meal. Highly recommend to any friend visting Oahu

Why would I review a restaurant that already has so many fantastic reviews? My favorite restaurant period! I agree with all the positive comments and love the creative Asian flavors and sauces. However, "The Coconut" was "to die for"! The haupia sorbet in a chocolate shell encrusted with toasted nuts (we had to look twice to see it was not... More

Wow, Alan Wong's was excellent! From start to finish, a truly great experience. Firstly, make sure to get a cab or drive, it's in kind of an out-of-the-way area, and I wouldn't want to walk there. Secondly, the atmosphere! Wow, as soon as you get in the elevator, you know it's going to be good, and the inside of the... More

We had dinner here on Friday, August 22, the final night of our week at the Halekulani in Honolulu. What a great choice to end the week. We selected the chef's tasting menu with wine pairings and it was fantastic. Asian flavors paired with European wines perfectly. The only course I may not have gotten was the three butters side... I didn't have high hopes on this restaurant since I had eating at MW early this week which suppose to have trained ex-chefs from Alan Wong's. This restaurant is located in the business district that isn't far from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Upon arrival, the staff was attentive and explained the specials and how everything worked. My wife and I... More
