Outstanding!

Loved this place! The food was amazing. I had the short ribs which were to die for, probably the best I've ever had. I wish I could remember the started course. Had the Tasting Menu with accompanying wines. Some wonderful flavours. Beautifully presented food. Fair price. Attentive service. Setting a bit ordinary but you're not there for that;) Recommend & would definitely return.

We had an excellent experience at Alan Wongs. The choice of food on the menu was good and there were plenty of gluten free choices available. The staff were knowledgable and the service was great. Could not fault.

We had sadly missed out on a table when we last visited Honolulu, so we weren't going to make the same mistake twice this time round! And what a fantastic dining experience it was! Going up the elevator in the office block was certainly not your usual entrance to a fine dining institution but...don't judge a book by its cover... More

PROS: Service. Well-timed and friendly. Also, they inquired about the occasion when we made our reservation (anniversary), and they went above and beyond the call of duty to make it a special night for us. Wine pairings. On the mark. Course menu. Small portions of several of the popular items on the menu. Creative, locally-sourced details. Delicious. CONS: Price? We... More

We LOVE Alan Wong's, but the price has gotten out of hand. $200 for two people (including tax, tip, and a total of 2 glasses of wine) should make you think twice about eating here. But I would be lying if I did not admit the food is to die for. We live here in Honolulu and I have lots... More

I'm a foodie, born and raised in Hawaii. Not much impressed me about food but Alan Wong's,(Chef Miya) or did themselves. Marrying our local favorites with his flavors were truly genius. We order pretty much the entire appetizer menu to start. The keahole lobster escargo prepared to die. The local cheese Fromage plate was beautiful presented. Crab cakes, perfect, but... More

It means "none better" and for discerning Hawaiian Regional Cuisine, Alan Wong's is no ka oi. Plan to valet park ($5) or take a taxi. The exterior is unassuming, the décor simple. If you are looking for the sublime just wait until your food arrives. The quality of ingredients, preparation and presentation was consistently excellent throughout a 5-course prix fixe... More

Saw great reviews of this place, excited to be able to get in. First impression was good, liked the decor however we were shown to a tiny table shoulder to shoulder (almost) with diners either side. It was impossible to have a conversation without an audience. RJ was our waiter who gave us a long spiel about the food in... More

Alan Wong's serves a tremendous number of dinners night after night but it is never hard to lose yourself in the superbly prepared food using the freshest of ingredients. It is as if you have the place to yourself and the wait staff is there for you alone. A fixed price menu of the Chef's greatest dishes may sound worn... More
