Cool Place to Hangout

The ambiance of this place is really good - live music and friendly staff. But, I think the food was just okay. I ordered their mango glazed ribs, and it was a bit dry and hard to cut. The meat stuck to the bone. The fries tasted like they were sitting for too long. I ate about 4 strands of... read more

Disregard mentions of tourism. The whole of Hawaii is and has been an exploited progressively un-Hawaiin tourist destination basically since Capt. Cook stumbled into Kealakekua Bay. Deeming a place or attraction as "touristy" in Hawaii is like Calling Mickey Mouse too "Disney-ish!" Named for legendary surfing champion Duke Kahanamoku, what can one say about Dukes other than that it is... More

Amazingly we did not have to wait for a table but this place is kind of a madhouse. I think it is popular but not great food; I would maybe go again and just have the salad bar which was very good. Fish was just ok. Good kids menu. Nice atmosphere but in general I like a place that is... More

Sat outside as wait was too long for indoor dining. Excellent service and food. Great to sit outdoor on a balmy night.

Although totally full of tourists, Dukes, is kinda a must-see for travellers to Waikiki. It's worth the wait to sit outside at the bar, and watch the beach and sunset. Action-packed people watching.

This is a great place to enjoy a meal and watch the sunset. This place is very busy around sunset and people stake out the best views long before sunset. The food is very good and love the Hula Pie.

We at here at the request of my parents, and it did not disappoint. It is literally on the beach and we had a sunset view over the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The food was good, not great, and the prices reflected the tourist nature of the restaurant, but it was definitely a good meal and we all enjoyed it.

Currently on vacation in waikiki. I have eaten here twice already for breakfast buffet style. They charge $16.95 per person with unlimited juices, coffee and tea. The food is pretty good, the service is even better. Its located on the beach and who doesn't want to have an amazing view while enjoying the first meal of the day. Every one... More

If you are in Honolulu, you must go to eat here. The view and beachfront and open feel of the restaurant are phenomenal. The prices are pretty good considering its Honolulu as well. Get the Hula pie!!

Delicious! We were originally seated in an area with out a very good view of the ocean, we requested a view of the sunset and the host was very obliging, asking if would mind the additional wait of 20-25 min. In less than 10 minutes we were seated right next to the railing and were able to watch the sun... More
