If you are enjoying your vacation don't bother with this place. Made a reservation 2 months ago. Arrived on time to find I was not properly dressed. Wearing black shorts and a nice shirt and shoes. Wow. Iam on vacation! They never told me or said anything about long pants being required. Avoid this stuck up place

We have been dining here since 1998 when we "eloped" to Hawaii and dined here on our wedding day. The service is impeccable and not intrusive. The setting is outrageous if you're lucky enough to get one of the ocean view tables right on the water. The ambiance is relaxed for a formal place since you can hear the Hawaiian... More

We had a great table, great wine nag great service. The food was average and overpriced. I had a fish wath a sauce that was so fishy and heavy that the fish was overpowered. The fish was overlooked.

Best restaurant I've ever been to. It was worth every penny. The service was phenomenal and so was the atmosphere. I highly recommend this spot, especially for couples.

I only review this as a 4 because I've now been to La Mer several times and hold it to a high standard. Did it blow me away. No. But if this was my first time - yes, it would have. We started at L'Apertif bar - highly underused bar in Waikiki - mostly because of the necessity of a... More

We chose the tasting menu and were blown away by the quality of the food, service, and location. The foie gras and lobster were so delicious that my mouth is watering as I type this!

Best restaurant in Honolulu! Located on Waikiki beach, Le Mer is a perfect place to take that special someone. My wife and I had a wonderful evening - the location, service, food (and especially the company) was all we could have hoped for. Go ahead - splurge! Make a special memory. Make sure you read the dress code!

La Mer is the perfect synthesis of French technique and Polynesian ingredients. The service is formal, but incredibly warm and friendly. The staff is attentive without being intrusive. Every detail is flawlessly constructed for an experience that is beyond compare. The chef even took a few minutes to talk with us about our meals when the wait staff was unclear on... More

We dined here for the first time for our anniversary, from the very minute we entered the restaurant we were greeted with big smiles and friendliness. Very beautiful setting over looking Waikiki beach through to diamond head. The best service I have experienced anywhere ever by far, highly professional and charismatic waiter and the best degustation meal of my life... More

I took my husband to La Mer for his 65th. From our pre-dinner drinks at Le Aperitif (the bar) to the little boxes of chocolates they gave us upon departure, it was simply wonderful. The head barman(who has been there for 20 years) is delightful. Our waiter was pleasant and professional. Then, there was the food. My husband had the... More
