While visiting Honolulu, we celebrated my birthday here at Le Mer. We started with a drink at L'Aperitif. The bartender was great and their cocktail plus bite of appetizer was fantastic. We moved into the dinning room - a table right on the water, and even though it was dark, the ocean and palm trees were lit up, and the... More

My wife and I are fortunate to be able to travel the world both for business and for pleasure. One of the things we do is try and find the best food where ever we go. Le Mer did not disappointed. A beautiful table for two looking out over the water in a very nice room. We selected the tasting... More

We've eaten at this restaurant a number of times and chose it to celebrate my 60th birthday. This occasion did not disappoint. The service was delightful, the location beautiful and the dining experience impeccable. The way in which items on the menu are described together with the opportunity to make minor changes to suit particular palates is exceptional. Our waiter... More

My wife and I traveled to Hawaii last month to celebrate our tenth anniversary. She had one request (demand?) with respect to the trip: dinner on our anniversary HAD TO BE at La Mer (specifically, the Menu Degustation). I gladly obliged... after all, happy wife, happy life. Quite honestly, the dining experience at La Mer was a mixed bag... far... More

There is something about a white suit and well versed men to make a meal memorable. To explain menu items in finite detail takes skill and there is skill a plenty at La Mer. The experience is worth it. The view is amazing. Food and wine delicious. Oooh the cheese trolley. For any cheese lover, I highly recommend. There are... More

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at La Mer and I have to say, it was one of the best celebratory, romantic dinners we have ever had. The warm and exotic décor made for a stunning setting and the location on the upper floor, right at the ocean, with big, open windows all around made for an amazing view. The perfect... More

Three of us dined together here and fully enjoyed the beautiful setting, ocean view, and attentive staff. My companions both enjoyed their meals. I had a terrific warm squid appetizer, but was disappointed in my entrée. I'd been very excited to see abalone as an option and that's what I chose from among several delicious sounding dishes. Unfortunately, it was... More

We had 4 perfect courses at the restaurant on a table at the window with a romantic ocean view. Probably the best course was dessert - Hawaiin Soufflé. Excellent composition. The service was nice and funny. We felt well taken care off.

We went to the bar for a drink before dinner, we were told they had the barman who was voted "best barman in the world" so we ordered our favourite cocktail, a raspberry mojoto, had to wait 35 minutes for it to arrive as the barman only served faces he recognised! When the drinks arrived, the mojoto had no mint... More
