The setting was magical, the food was excellent as was the service. I was particularly impressed by the vegan meal prepared for me. We had a table right on the water from where we could see a giant turtle swimming. . Pre dinner cocktails in l'aperitif also excellent. Definitely a memorable experience.

La Mer is a very elegant restuarant that should not be missed. There are fantastic tables overlooking the water and if you are there at the right time the sunset can be fantastic. The service the best. Our waiter Dan was fantastic and had a great sense of humor. This was about the fourth time we have been here. The... More

My group enjoyed a fine French dinner for a wedding reception on the day after Christmas. It was by far the most extravagant meal I have ever had in my life. The food was excellent. Small portions in seven courses over five hours, and five wines to match. We were so full by the end, we barely made it out... More

La Mer belongs to the privileged places on this planet when rating food, location, ambiance and service. The chef concentrates on a few dishes which is also a good sign. Two types of menus, 3 courses and 8 courses, each option delectable. The wine card offers a good choice of American and, of course, French wines. While Romanee Conti would... More

We went to Honolulu for Christmas/ New Years and decided to have dinner in some nice restaurants. Our stay was at Sheraton, at next door. La mer was a great experience, we took the full course menu, with wine pairing. All dishes great, all wines superb (and a surprisingly wonderful Bejoulais nouveau for one of the pairing - so good... We had dinner there for a wedding ceremony. Food was good but the portions were ridiculously small. I don’t normally eat bread but to have 3 pieces just to be ok. Very expensive also. However, service was excellent and the view is very nice.

After reading reviews on all of the best restaurants on Oahu, I decided on La Mer for my husband's birthday dinner. Although we stayed up on the North Shore at Turtle Bay, it was well worth the drive to Honolulu for this amazing dining experience. It says that La Mer is the most highly rated restaurant in all of Hawaii,... More

The food, service and view are all some of the best on offer in Hawaii. I'd recommend people treat themselves with a visit if you're in Honolulu.

While visiting Honolulu, we celebrated my birthday here at Le Mer. We started with a drink at L'Aperitif. The bartender was great and their cocktail plus bite of appetizer was fantastic. We moved into the dinning room - a table right on the water, and even though it was dark, the ocean and palm trees were lit up, and the... More
