Breakfast

Good buffet with ocean view and breeze. Price is a little bit higher than other ocean view hotels. But service is much better than others.

A French 5 Star Restaurant oceanfront at the Halekulani on Waikiki beach. Not your typical hotel restaurant. From the walk through the beautifully appointed hotel to the upstairs oceanfront, open air candle lit restaurant you know you are there for a very special evening. You are made to feel very special and the service here is impeccable. We made reservations... More

Celebrated a wedding anniversary dinner here for all the right reasons --. have dined here before; the view at sunset; the reputation; the special qualities of the staff; the attention to detail. Went big and ordered the "Degustation Menu". Meal went way too long - 3 hours (don't tell me how fashionably "European" this was), evoking more than one apology... More

La Mer is truly one of the best restaurants we have visited. The attention to detail, the attentive staff, the beyond excellent food and the gorgeous view are beyond compare. This is really our all time favorite restaurant on Oahu. We like sitting on the Diamond Head side, that way we can watch the live entertainment in the garden below.... More

Although the service is impeccable, and the restaurant is lovely, the special vegetarian menu is dreadful. I don't think the chef has any idea as to what makes vegetarian food satisfying or delicious. I ad a puny salad to start and then a few chunks of tofu as the main course. For the $100++ price, it was a complete joke.... More

My wife and I had dinner at La Mer last week. If you know French food and have been around really upscale restaurants, you'll understand why the restaurant has a dress code and is really quite expensive. La Mer offers a very special opportunity to dine in a sophisticated atmosphere where the staff respect the customer in a quiet room... More

So disappointed. Food was good but not superlative. Service was condescendingly arrogant; which I don't mind if service is great- which it wasn't. So this was a very poor value. View was fantastic; and atmosphere is very nice.

This restaurant is really at the top and offers French cuisine. It offers excellent service in a nice atmosphere with delicious food. The wines are a little bit overpriced if you know there real prices. The food was excellent and my highly was the selection of French cheese at the end. Make sure you are doing a reservation well in... More

We visited La Mer after hearing it received Forbes Magazine 5 Stars for two consecutive years. The Menu Degustation we had was so fantastic! A beautiful combination of modern/classic french cuisine. From foie gras to lobster, to beef to lamb. The dessert was also very original and the best we ever had! No.1 fine dining in Honolulu for sure!!
