If you are a Dim Sum fan, and want the chinatown experience, eat here. The area may be a little "worn", but the trip is worth it!

We have wanted to eat at Lucky Belly for quite some time. We had read several good reviews in travel magazines but had not been able to make it work with our busy schedules. Finally, we went for lunch to celebrate a birthday. It is a small but comfortable space with plenty of light for a space with dark wood... More

In one sentence, Lucky Belly serves decent, so-called Asian fusion food, but to me there is more hype than substance. Of the many ramen noodle choices on the menu, we chose beast bowl ($14). The noodle is a bit thicker and less bouncier than typical Japanese ramen (don't like). The soup is about half the flavor, taste and intensity of... More

We happened by this place during the day and decided to return for dinner. The inside is a great upgrade to an old building. The crowd scene is a blend of cultures and age ranges leaning to youth (we aren't) no reservation available so we had to wait about 30 minutes (as promised) visiting with others was most enjoyable. The... More

They were the best Shrimp tacos I have ever had and my husband had the pork belly bow and it was wonderful and big and... More

Finally tried this place. I had the belly bowl with the added kim chee boost recommended by my server. It was good, but a bit of a sensory overload and also too salty. I personally prefer more traditional ramen with more subtle flavor. Service was great. Fast and friendly.

Lucky Belly is among the new restaurants in Honolulu's seedy Chinatown. It gets its hip, fresh energy from young owners and foodies. The noodles, served in humongous bowls, are innovative and delicious. The menu is limited, so it's great to order several appetizers to share with your noodles.

Situated in the heart of Hotel Street, Honolulu's former red light district during the World War II era, Lucky Belly serves up huge bowls of ramen with a twist of inspired culinary eclecticism. Mixing Asian based soup noodle dishes mixed with European influences, the dishes are a surprising yet comforting version of Japanese comfort food. They also serve a fantastic... More
