Ice cream and fruit

We loved the papaya bowls! Also mixed fruit bowls were popular. We tried the mango, passion fruit, and coconut ice creams - very fruity taste almost like a sorbet - high quality, but this ice cream is not creamy but more like a fruit laden ice milk type. My personal preference is for a rich... read more

Henry's is basically an open store front known for its freezer of homemade ice cream and sorbet. If you set your expectations accordingly, it's a decent place to stop for desert. The sorbet is basically shave ice packed hard in a Styrofoam cup. At $5, that's a bit steep for shave ice, especially when you have to wait a bit... More

This was a neat little place to stop at for a local experience. Great prices on fruit took it back to hotel and saved a ton of money. My husband tried mango ice cream and it was ok but nothing spectacular.

We've walked past Henry's many times without noticing it. This year, we wanted ice cream and Henry's topped the list. Portions are pre-filled Styrofoam coffee cups, about 8 ounces. The strawberry-guava sorbet and coffee ice cream were delicious. The ice cream was light, more like a sorbet or frozen coffee with milk, and the coffee flavor was wonderful. The sorbet... More

Henry's Place has great ice cream. We wondered what people were lining up for each evening, as we returned to our hotel, so one night we joined the queue to find out. We were not disappointed and enjoyed the home made ice cream. We returned to Henry's Place several nights. They have seats outside the little store, where you can... More

I usually make a stop at Henry's Place the first day I am in Waikiki --- gotta get my fresh papaya! Cut up and ready to eat, a bowl will last me my whole stay... cuz you gotta have a few bites of papaya every morning in paradise. I've tried some ice cream too, and wouldn't hesitate to buy more... I wondered why everyone was lining up here when I went by, so I joined the line to find out. Really glad I did. The Kona coffee ice cream here is delicious . A nice treat, or dessert after you've had dinner at one of the nearby food trucks down the block...

You must visit Henry's Place for the best fresh fruit and home made ice-cream . We stay at the Trump and always stock up with fruit for breakfast and ice cream for dessert.

Last time I went to there February 2014, this is the second time. I prefer to the cut pineapple than that of ABC store. Very sweet and juicy. Many Japanese is gathering this store because a store signboard is written by Chinese character "高橋果実店". And you can buy a bottle of water and some sandwiches beside some fruits.

Heney pasted away a couple years ago, but when I met him he was always friendly and smiling. His kids have taken over and they are the same way. Great prices.
