This place is fun and very reasonably priced, especially for Hawaii. The food is american style which means too much batter on the tempura and too much sweetness for the dipping sauce, but that's because the restaurant is in America! The noodles are nice and fresh and I would recommend this place to anyone who likes noodles and if you're... More

If you want real fresh noodles with tempura side dishes, then this is the place to go in Hawaii. Noodles are made and cooked on site and the service is fast and first class. The addons are tasty and fresh and the place is very busy as is evidenced by the queue that forms. The meal is filling and cheap.... More

We missed breakfast by an hour and 30 minutes before lunch opening so we waited for brunch, we were first in line and having a big family, I could go around while others wait in line. When they opened we had to wing it how it works because we could not copy anyone being first in line, it came naturally... More

I headed into Waikiki to specifically check out this place and I was so very glad I did! I had the Kake Udon and one tempura shrimp, asparagus, and sweet potato. It was a remarable deal and just under $10 with a drink. The udon noodles were just as they should be... super chewy and yummy! The tempura crispy and... More

This place is great! Fresh made Udon right on site. Get there earlier in the day to avoid the lines. I was worried that we could not get a table but when we got a food, tables opened up.

This is a great little udon place on Kuhio, just a couple blocks from Waikiki Beach. There is almost always a line when I come here but it moves quick. The ordering is cafeteria style and you order by number off the menu. Their prices are so cheap, less than $5 for an udon. When you walk in the restaurant... More

Ive always wondered why people flock to this place like some sort of Udon Mecca. The line always stretches well outside the building. The reason is probably a combination of the fact that the food is satisfying and the cheapest meal you can possibly buy in Waikiki thats not a McDonalds cheeseburger. They only offer udon here as the name... More

Tried this place after the great Aloha run. It was a great way to refuel. Ate till I was stuffed and had to take a lot home. Spent well under $20. Great value and quality.

My husband and I ate here last night after the recommendation from a friend and we were not led astray! The line was wrapped twice along the block outside but I was determined to try udon for the first time and I'm glad I did! The line moved quickly and ordering was a breeze. We both got the regular Kake... More
