We heard great things about this Cafe and walked in circles using our phone's GPS trying to find it. Once we spotted the sign, the owner quickly walked out to greet us and invited us to sit at the one and only outdoor table. He actually even sat with us for a few minutes and was so sweet and welcoming.... More

Had done my homework and found Hawaiian Cafe & Sushi. About 4 interior and 2 outside tables. We were welcome in this "homey" cafe, lots of take-outs, and service was swell. Food was good.

went here as close to hotel and great reviews. We were not disappointed. fantastic fresh sushi and sashimi. Ok, we had to make our own table and chairs with what we could find but thats part of the charm. Do yourself a favour and visit.

Small piece of old Hawaii. Cliff and his wife and his chef are providing the best Sushi we have ever had. Tiny place with Hawaii charm and much Aloha. Sushi made fresh to order and worth waiting for to eat in or take out.

We came across Hawaiian Cafe by accident. The owner was fantastic, very personal-able. The food was the best we have come across on the island. Unique and excellent taste. Just a bit of a warning the restaurant is not very big so you want to be the first to get there to get a seat. If you want to sit... More

Food quality and service was good but i didn't really enjoy the small size - felt i like i was eating in somebody's private dining room. but it's hard to beat the fact that you can bring your own alcohol.

Not the prettiest place in town, but if you're looking for a great meal, this is it. Fish is fresh, and we ate loads of it. Lots of rolls to choose from. The sushi is OK, although not really perfectly made, I'd stick to the rolls - they are better. The owner is very nice. We went there on our... More

We ate outside a few times during our week in Waikiki. Go early and ask for brown rice. The food was a bit on the salty side, but most food in Honolulu was like that. The house special rolls were the best!
