Good for the budget

Can rely on the regular goods like all Safeway's, but they had a lot of local favorites. King's Sweet bread, Kalua pork, laulaus, Hawaiian Suns drinks, and of course bottled water cheaper than other stores. Hard liquor was much cheaper than in Washington State.

They have everything imaginable for plate lunches/ local food to poke bowls. The food is very good and compares to restaurants. Great to pick something up for the beach outing. The prices are very reasonable as well.

There are several delis in several Safeway stores in Hawaii, and I've been to many of them and their sandwiches and other comestibles are great. With one exception. DON'T PATRONIZE THE SAFEWAY IN KANEOHE unless you crave horrid services even to the point of maliciousness!

We stopped to pick up necessities for my husbands work week, and decided to grab our lunch here, we had the salad bar and the greens and salad fixings were very good, however, the mixed salads i.e." macaroni, cole slaw, and broccoli had way to much mayo and very bland. Good for a quick lunch but nothing to go out... More

It's common for business travelers to stop by the grocery store for grab and go food, much cheaper and often healthier and easier than eating in restaurants. This Safeway has a food bar that's decent and a nice Deli. The Dutch Crunch Rolls in the bakery were really good also.

Went to safeway to buy the onsale corn for 3 for 1. Casher said you have to have club card. I told her I waited 20 min no one working their. Then she starts yelling at me you can not open the corn. You will make a mess. Who is going to clean it up. So I try again to... More

Located a short drive outside of Waikiki beach area, this location has lots to offer. Precooked rotisserie chicken, salads, a deli, a Starbucks just about everything a tourist could want. Local produce like pineapple were $.69/lb but apples $4/lb. They are just across the Leonard's so a easy way to combine 2 stops.

Go here and get quick, easy and pre made foods or have something made to order. There is a huge option for foods and was not disappointed. Fill a takeaway container from a wide selection of hot cooked foods or salads - they price is by the pound so the heavier your container the higher the cost. Food: hot potato... More

There are so many places to 'nosh' in Hawaii, with the compulsery plastic smiles and high prices, one becomes completly confused. So why select a Safeway Supermarket. If you're a seasoned traveller and seek value for money "who would have thought" Safeway would be the BEST choice. Freshly made hot and cold deli sandwiches, soups, pizza, paninis, ribs, superb salads,... More

A short walk from Honolulu Zoo on Waikiki Beach brings you to Safeway, the best food market on the island. This is where you will find the freshest cheapest bananas and pineapples with great specials on Kona coffee beans as well. Forget about buying coffee and chocolate covered macadamias anywhere else - you will get ripped off. Then again, tourists... More
