I've been to Waikiki numerous times and made the trek between Waikiki and Ala Moana on foot and by car. Never knew this restaurant was tucked away in the Modern Hotel, across the street from the Red Lobster and Outback Steakhouse, until two days ago. A local took me there--what a great surprise! Save your money, don't go to either... More

My husband took me back to Morimoto's for my 40th birthday dinner. I love the atmosphere, decor, and food. I must admit its hard for me to try new things - especially when I know what I want or have tried something that was absolutely "the best meal I've ever had". I wanted to try something new, but I couldn't.... More

Dined at Morimoto's for my birthday and it was a really enjoyable evening. When we arrived our table was inside which is nice as it's a nice space and views of the kitchen, but we definitely wanted to sit outside (cooler in temp for one)... luckily a table became available in about 10 minutes. Fabulous unusual food and definitely worth... More

Ishi Yaki Buri Bop was delicious, 'angry' chicken cooked with cucumin) spice not specified, giving it an Indian flavor not desired by all, but essentially impossible to converse because of the very high noise level not explained by any particularly noisy individual tables.

The waiter was condescending and rude. I asked for ranch dressing, he said they did not have it, they did. I asked for a special preparation, he said "it depends". When I told him what I wanted, he said "not going to happen". He treated another person at my table poorly as well. The manager was not much better. Other... More

The service, meal and atmosphere were an incredible beginning to our stay in Waikiki. It's located inside the Modern Hotel (are really cool place--with unique amenities in the rooms and two cool pools). We sat inside and I had a view of the open kitchen. It was a Sunday night and incredibly busy but the service and food was fabulous.... More

I had the duck, which was alright, but not as good as I was hoping for. My wife had a beef dish and she shared the same opinion. I had expected a little more, being a Morimoto restaurant, but oh well. Rather expensive as well. Would be a nice place to have appetizers and drinks probably, but you could probably... More

My wife and I visited Morimoto's while staying in the Modern Hotel. We booked in advance and were glad we did as we were given a table outside and the restaurant itself was very busy! The service is incredible, all staff are very knowledgeable and willing to help you with any difficult choices you may have with the expansive menu!... More
