Having eaten there twice this year, and sampled dozen's of eateries in Honolulu over the past few years, (we are here about 4 times a year), I decided to give my review of Makittii Hawaii. Both times my wife and I arrived without reservations around 5:30 and the wait time was negligible, under 20 minutes. I went there for the... More

Let's face it, eating in Waikiki is expensive. This is a full buffet for $20. Granted, it's not gourmet food but they do have some tasty dishes, Pizza, lots of fresh fruit and a great environment. The Crepes were an unexpected treat with ice cream and banana, I went back for another. They have grilled steak and shrimp too. In addition,... More

Food was good for a buffet. There was a large variety of foods. Even Pizza! The selection ensured that everyone had something to eat. They had cook to order steak and shrimp, lots of sushi. The price was worth it. Make sure you make a reservation or you will stand in line for a long time.

We went here for lunch, and it was a good way to relax in a buffet away from the 'tourists' for a while. Prices were good and the range of Japanese food was good also.

We organised a booking 24 hours in advance for 5 people - for 5.45 arrived at 5.55 to be told it would be 15 minutes - and we were to wait outside and others let in before us without bookings. After asking why...we were led inside to wait again...finally led to our table at 6.15 with less than 1 hour... More

For $20 you get a buffet that includes steak, shrimp, crab legs, and sushi, and a small luau type show. Our son loved the sushi. The freshly cooked shrimp and steak were pretty good, but you had to wait in line quite a bit for them. The desserts weren't really that good. The show was pretty cheesy, but fun. If... More

This is an all you can eat buffet for $20. If you stick to the steak and shrimp, which are freshly cooked then you cant go far wrong. Some of the other dishes were cold and may have been out for a while. There is a good turnover of clients - so not too long hopefully. My son said the... More

It's an shame to say but, I ate too much. It's a all you can eat and they have everything... I mean... Everything! Seafood, steak, chicken.. You name it. And the price extremely affordable. I believe I was there twice. Nice staff also. Highly recommended!

Went here last week, the Polynesian dancers were teaching each other the dance outside... the fire throwers continuously dropped their sticks. The ad said Hawaiian/Japanese food... and there was ticket for free lobster. The lobster looked disgusting (it was green on the inside) and resembled a crawdad more than anything else and tasted worse than it looked. There was hardly... More

We got to Makittii and was told there would be half an hour wait so we thought fair enough as we didn't book. Our names were taken and were told to stand inside and we would be called, we did this and so did others that came after us. After 15mins people who arrived after us were invited to tables... More
