Well worth the wait

So yes there is a line, but there always is for the most yummy things. The mochi ice cream was delish!!!! We tried 6 flavours and were in love with all. Not to be missed is the chocolate mint. Plenty of room to sit down and eat inside. Oh but avoid the coffee, not the most remarkable thing on... read more

This is old fashioned mom and pop style ice cream with a no credit cards retro style way of business. The owners have taken great pains to come up with clever and funny names for their ice cream cakes, sundays, etc. so take a look at the menu before or after you ogle the frozen buttermilk goodness in front of... It's amazing how this place still draws a crowd after so many years....location is off the beaten path but you'll know you're in the right place when you see the line out the door (keep it closed or you'll get a holler at ya!). Cute old fashioned charm with some hilarious names of desserts. My 7 year old asked what... More

I took my dad and wife here and he is a lover of ice cream. He ordered the macadamia nut ice cream and love it. He said it was loaded with whole macadamia nuts and the ice cream was delicious. I ordered the root beer ice cream on a waffle cone and it, also was great. I also ordered a... More

This was a good treat after a long day in the sun. Their coconut with chocolate ice cream was fantastic.

I used to go to this location all the time when I was in high school. Now I've moved to the mainland and nothing else brings back a sense of my childhood growing up in Hawaii like Bubbies (other than, of course, my family ;) ). Their dessert ice cream cakes are unique as they are delicious and are a... More

I love mochi ice cream - but most of the ones I've had are the ones from the supermarket or Japanese sushi restaurants here in NYC. I've never had a fresh one before I went to Bubbie's. It's SO much different - if you think the freezer packed mochi ice creams are good, you haven't even tried anything yet. The... More

While in Hawaii I wanted to try mochi ice cream and read that Bubbie's has the best in the US. We tried six varieties with our favourite being raspberry with white chocolate ice cream. I didn't know what to expect with the outside being made of rice but I loved it, sort of chewy but soft and then the smooth... More

Went here after a hike, and luckily there wasn't a long line and we easily got a parking spot. I've heard the lines can get pretty long. We each got 3 different types of mochi ice cream and it was really really good! I've heard of this place before and I'm glad I went! Can't wait to go back for... More

While touted as the best place to get mochi ice cream in all of the USA, I can certify that this is most likely correct. This was some of the best mochi ice cream I've ever tasted and it comes in an absolutely insane amount of flavors. Incredible value for the price, go ahead and get 3 mochi a person!
