What a fantastic dining expensive. The position and the decor are the finest in Waikiki. The service was exemplary. The seafood was spectacular. They pride themselves on the freshest seafood direct from the morning Honolulu seafood market and it was absolutely outstanding quality. The Ahi and Opakapaka were both delicious and some of the finest seafood we have ever eaten,... More

The buffet has most anything you could want or image for breakfast. We only enjoy when we have the time and desire for a large meal. Service is great and the staff keeps the food fresh and available

Having lunch at the Surf Lanai is a great way to experience the ambiance of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. You sit in a open air environment which is very private. The salads we had were made with local greens which were quite fresh and tasty. Our server was very nice. She did more than take our orders and serve our... More

Had lunch at the Surf Lanai and enjoyed an excellent meal. Our waiter, Stanton, was able to fill us in on all the happenings there since our last visit to Waikiki. The restaurant sits right next to the beach at the Royal Hawaiian (what beach is left after years of pounding surf). I suggest ordering somehting you can't easily get... More

We opted for lunch at the Surf Lanai, because we knew a meal at the Royal Hawaiian would be quite expensive. We both started with the "Royal Mai Tai" and were not disappointed - it was the only great Mai Tai we had in Hawaii, but then this is where it all began. I think the pureed vanilla-cherry and the... Breakfast was just wonderful. Having breakfast with such an amazing view of the beach and the Diamond head while you enjoy a delicious dish with fresh fruit, bread and eggs; is just great!

We had daily breakfast package included as part of our stay at the Royal Hawaiian and it was definitely worth it. The restaurant is located right next to the Mai Tai Bar and it is very close to the RH pool and the hotel entrance to the Waikiki beach. There are a number of mixed reviews about this restaurant, which... More

Went here for lunch and was terribly disappointed. The staff are so rude it is not funny. We were lucky that the lady who was our server seemed to be the only one around with a smile on her face. Our drinks were ok but the food was not. My fiance ordered a pizza which had crust so thick he... More

We arrived for breakfast without a reservation and asked to sit outside, which was not a problem. Our waiter suggested we have the buffet, which we decided to have, and were not disappointed. Great variety of delicious fresh food, outstanding omelettes, great eggs benedict and fresh juices. The coffee was good too. I probably ate too much, but our waiter... More

After 60 years, I finally returned to Oahu where I'd lived as a child. A huge treat for me was to have my 11th birthday dinner at the Royal Hawaiian. Going back, we had breakfast and an afternoon snack at the Surf Lanai. The pink theme still reigns, so we sat under pink umbrellas, and the view of Diamond Head... More
