Whether its breakfast by the beach or Cocktails and snacks! It's all goooood

Stopped by "The Pink Lady" which is the nickname for the historic Royal Hawaiian Hotel on Kalakaua Ave twice. Once for drinks in the afternoon accompanied with some bar snacks and in the morning for their breakfast. Both times were delicious and satisfying! For drinks, I had the Lava Flow and my... read more

Having grown up in Hawaii and returning frequently, the Surf Lanai was a standard breakfast stop. We eagerly anticipated their breakfast buffet and craved their view of Waikiki Beach. It has always been a great way to start the day. Much to our chagrin, when we arrived this year, we sadly learned the buffet is no longer offered. We still... More

We ate breakfast and lunch oceanfront at the Surf Lanai several times during our two week stay at the Royal Hawaiian. Every server we had was professional, courteous and shared stories of the iconic hotel and also of Oahu and Hawiian culture. Though all were friendly, Dottie (Dorothy) really stands out for her spirit of Aloha that she shares with... More

We had lunch at the Royal Hawaiian in 2008 and it just blew our socks off....so when we returned in June this year it was definitely on our bucket list to see the Pink Lady again We had made a booking and we were seated with a wonderful view of Diamond Head and the blue blue ocean and that's as... We made reservations for lunch at the Surf Lanai for our last day in Honolulu. It was definitely a great decision. The wait staff gave us the best table in the house. We had a direct view of Diamond Head and the beach yet were in a very quiet corner. We ordered wine, salad and the Mahi, Mahi sandwich. All... More

I hate that the continental breakfast is ~$20 but it's actually really tasty and filling. You get juice, coffee or tea, a smoothie shot, fresh fruit bowl, and three breakfast pastries. The pastries are my favorite - especially the mini croissants! Their breakfast entrees are also pretty filling - the portions are huge! Lunch is also very tasty - it's... More

As guests at the Royal Hawaiian we chose a room rate that included breakfast. The guest menu we were offered was limited but very good. It included both healthy and robust options. We ate mainly the eggs Benedict, full american eggs or omelettes each morning. These orders came with coffee or tea and fresh fruit or juice. The portions were... More

The Royal Mai Tai was the best Mai Tai we had on our trip, and the view of Waikiki and Diamond Head was great.

We came here for lunch one day. The view of the ocean and Diamond Head are beautiful. Seating is outside at tables with curtains partially around your table so it feels like you have your own private place. Cozy. Our server was very nice and pleasant, as always. We got the Short Rib Panini and the Mahi Mahi Sandwich to... More

Since we were guests of the hotel, we started each day here with breakfast on the beach. During breakfast the beach is usually fairly quiet and guests haven't started to occupy the row of reserved chairs just beyond the restaurant. Coffee was delicious and the entrees were hearty enough to last us until happy hour later in the afternoon. One... More
