Cool lights, pillows, surfboards, and really good food. I had a burrito and my daughter had fish tacos. The burrito was great - very big and tasted very fresh. My daughters' fish tacos were very good. The water came chilled in a big bottle which we both thought was a nice touch. The specials for the evening were for Indian... More

My chicken tacos on soft corn tortillas were just the way I like them with high-quality chicken breast and some freshly-made guac on top. Choose your level of heat from a variety of salsas and hot sauces. My dining companions enjoyed their burritos, too. On top of that, the chef and the wait staff are friendly, helpful, and fun to... Really good burritos packed full of beans, and rice and some pulled pork. High quality prepareed food. A little pricey for the value, but still worth it. Very nice!

Based upon generally good reviews we visited this restaurant. The food was very tasty, however the price was high for what you got. The usual sides of rice and beans were absent , so all you got was the one item you ordered with a sparing amount of chips. The restaurant itself was dingy looking, and we were a bit... More

My husband and I were visiting Newport in late April and were in the mood for mexican and found this restaurant. It's a very cute/casual place with nice/friendly staff. The burritos are gigantic and delicious. The menu is very reasonably priced. If you want a hip/relaxed atmosphere with great mexican food, go to this place!

What a treat we stumbled on this from a recommendation from another site and wanted to share this on TA. very cool atmosphere small inside and super friendly, reminded us of small town surf restaurants back home, we came in at the end of rush hour lunchtime and had a chance to visit with the owner, very nice talked to... Sapo's is a great value, what we consider the best burritos on the island. They also have great quesadillas (we particularly love the "deadlift": portabello, steak, and blue cheese). We usually do take out but the atmosphere is pretty good if you want to eat in, BYOB. Try the iced coffee...delicious!

This is a awesome spot for a quick lunch. Its pretty straight foward ... you build your own burritos. It is vegetarian and vegan friendly which is a plus because there are little to no choices for that type of cusine in the downtown Newport area.
