Great service and great place to eat out doors (weather permitting). Dinner was excellent, however, didn't care for what we had for breakfast. Very attentive staff and very clean.

We came to the Hotel Viking for dinner to Eat at One Bellevue. The food and service was amazing. I started with the French Onion Soup and I was more than pleased with it. Next, had the Ahi Tuna which was amazing and perfectly cooked. It was packed with flavor. We sat in the back room and our server was... More

The service was terrific - responsive, attentive, friendly. My grilled octopus and my Mom's chicken were fantastic. The salads were delightful. I would go again - the outside patio is charming - a lot of charm and extras out there and makes for a relaxing space

Went here for breakfast with my family, not that crowded. 15 minutes for waiter to show up, brought coffee, no cups. I finally went to another empty table to get one. I had salmon benedict, salmon was incredibly salty. My son's scrambled eggs were overdone and clearly sitting under a warmer too long. the pancakes were good, but certainly not... More

This place has great staff. Housed in The Hotel Viking. Indoor and outdoor seating; both very pleasant. Ordered a bottle of wine which they were out of, so Mike Cheny gave us a free upgrade.

For the past few years, my wife and I have had the pleasure to dining at both the "Top of Newport" restaurant (located on the roof of the Hotel Viking) and "One Bellevue" restaurant (located by the main lobby of the Hotel Viking). Both locations are fantastic destinations that serve world-class cuisine with top-notch service. "Top of Newport" boasts a... More

a "warmer" feel and friendlier welcome than that of traditional restaurant in a hotel. Great outdoor seating area with gas fireplace makes it the perfect place for a late night meal or drink.

While staying at a nearby B & B, four of us decided to have a late supper (8 pm) at the restaurant in the Hotel Viking. What a mistake! One of the women had stayed at this hotel on a previous visit to Newport and she had enjoyed the food. The place was almost deserted when we arrived and this... More

Beautiful spot. Rarely overcrowded, but never empty either. Great outdoor seating with a gas fireplace to either have your meal or enjoy an after dinner drink. We have been here many times for dinner or just drinks. We love this place. The staff here is exceptional, i'll go as far as to say probably one of the top restaurants in... More

We have had afternoon tea all over the country. The tea sandwiches were different to say the least. They were just not the kind of sandwiches you would expect at tea, except for the cucumber one. The scones were very good and served with clotted cream. The truffles were good. The tea bread was simply a coffee cake. It was... More
