We have had afternoon tea all over the country. The tea sandwiches were different to say the least. They were just not the kind of sandwiches you would expect at tea, except for the cucumber one. The scones were very good and served with clotted cream. The truffles were good. The tea bread was simply a coffee cake. It was... More

We ate on the patio, and had a starter and an entree and a bottle of wine. From the outset, our waiter was the only server on the patio. He definitely had more tables than he could handle. Having been told that the Chef was selected as the #1 Chef in Newport, we definitely had high expectations. The menu is... More

I'm from RI and we Love going to Newport as a get away. The Food and service were excellent on our stay. After eating we were able to Walk around and enjoy the Scenery. When not Eating or Walking we enjoyed your Pool and Jacuzzi. I will recommend One Bellevue to my Family and Friends

Went above and beyond to provide an excellent dining experience. Two menu items were not available and they were very accommodating to come up with a substitute.

High Tea at the Hotel Viking was wonderful ! The scones were delicious, and I would go back anytime for them.

I was traveling in Rhode Island for a High School reunion, and stayed in Newport at The Hotel Viking for 2 nights before leaving for home. I ate at One Bellevue both nights, and was very impressed, both nights. Sunday night I had the locally caught Calamari appetizer- it was a very big portion with both rings and a few... More

My husband and I stopped by the Hotel Viking on Saturday during our stay in Newport. The Hotel Viking has a rooftop deck with music on the weekends and what a great way to spend the evening. Our waitress Spencer was great with her award winning personality and Lori who created the most delicious espresso martini on the east coast.... More

We made reservations on line and were locked out of 6;30 and took 6:45. We arrived early, were seated at 6;30 in an EMPTY dinning room. Have not idea whey we couldn't get a reservation at any time. The food was very good an interesting. Had Tautog -a white fish only fished one month of the year. Like a Flounder-... More

Recently had dinner while staying at the Viking. Our waiter was helpful with the menu and the food was very good. The menu is small but I find that usually means the food is well prepared. The restaurant is a bit loud because it's attached to the bar, which can become pretty lively.

One Bellevue was phenomenal! Adam, our waiter, was perfection. The bus staff was incredibly polite and efficient. Now, the chef, he is a genius! The Ahi Tuna Tartare (masterpiece), Butternut Squash soup, Brie and Lump Crab Encrusted Salmon and Boneless Rib Eye were all incredible. This dining experience surpassed many of the recommended Manhattan restaurants we have tried in the... More
